Hi there,

I am having a major clearout at home and have finally got around to finishing off some old machines that I have had floating around the house.

I have got a Network starter kit for sale consisting of:

1 Acer Altos 300 Server.
Intel Pentium 200 CPU
96MB RAM
1x1.2GB IDE Hard Drive
1x2Gb IBM 68 pin SCSI-40 Drive
Adaptec SCSI-40 Controller
1xSony CDROM Drive
1x3COM 905TX 10/100 LAN card
1xGeneric 10 Base LAN Card (can't remember the manufacturer without opening again)
1xHP DDS-2 SCSI Backup Tape Drive(4-8Gb)
1x14" Acer SVGA Monitor
1x PS/2 keyboard
1x PS/2 Mouse

1xDlink DE-816TP 10Base-T 16 port Ethernet Hub
2xNew 10Metre Cat5 UTP lead
2xNew 5Metre Cat5 UTP lead
2xNew 3Metre Cat5 UTP lead
2xNew 1 Metre CAT5 UTP lead

1xSmoothwall 0.99SE Free Installation CD
1xSmoothwall Patches CD from 7 upto 18
1x Smoothwall Install/Admin User guide Printed out in binder

I have fully serviced this server and she is in excellent working order. Quick for it's spec and stable

The reason for an IDE drive as well as a SCSI drive is simple:
I have installed (Linux)Smoothwall Web sharing Server software onto it, complete with security patches upto current date, as it is easy to install and administrate, very stable, has good firewall security built in, is blisteringly quick on this server and great for true NAT-Based Web sharing for multiple users.
Smoothwall however does not contain SCSI support, hence the IDE Drive present. The SCSI is fully functional, but not currently used in it's smoothwall configuration. The SCSI stuff has been fully tested with NT4 Server and Windows 98 Second Edition and performs perfectly

I have tested this setup via my ADSL connection here and it is fully operational. All that it will require is 5 mins of your time after you plug in your existing Ethernet-Based Broadband Router/Modem altering the default IP adrress details etc. Very easy to do and If you bring your details with you when collecting, I will set it up there and then.
You can of course use a normal modem too with smoothwall if that is what you are on
Due to the weight and size of all of this stuff, I really, really don't want to ship it, but if absolutely necessary I am sure that we can arrange something

£100.

Cheers,

Nick

Cheers

Nick
