I'm sticking with the DC until the PS2 is a) cheaper and b) got a better selection of games...
If you get one, recommend the following:
Soul Reaver
Sega GT (they've got scoobs in this!)
Quake III Arena
MSR
Soul Calibur
Crasy Taxi
F355
Tomb Raider (if you havent played this to death on another system already!).

This has probably been talked about before but.......
should i wait and buy a PS2 in say 12 mths time, when the price has dropped, or should i buy a Dreamcast now?
Is the quality of the graphics on the Dreamcast that much better than the PS1?
Are there any good `shoot em up` games on the dreamcast?
I really dont know what to do, please help.
Paul

Look further down this forum, Tal has a new Dreamcast for £100, with 3 games, you can't say fairer than that (don't know Tal, just it is a good deal). Currently the Dreamcast has a wider range of games of a higher quality, I would suggest that in 8 months or so the PS2 will start to take off.
Don't know about shoot-em-ups, you can get House of the Dead and the like, if that's your cup of tea.

Buy a Dreamcast now...you can get one cheap and there are some great games available such as Metropolis Street Racer, Soul Calibre, Shenmue, Jet Set Radio, Crazy Taxi, etc.
Then, in a year or so, you'll have a better choice because you'll have the PS2 (at a greatly reduced price and with some decent games - such as GT3 and Metal Gear Solid 2) and the Xbox to choose from.
I'd really wait at least another six months before thinking of getting a PS2, there's just no decent titles for it at the moment...

Hi Paul,
Buy the Cast and get Metropolis Street racer, best racing game I've played, ever.
Racing round Westminster in a TVR is cool. No Scooby though.
Wait 6 months and the PS2 will probably halve in price.
