How is it that out of the thousands of people who audition they end up with a collection of ten talentless lookalikes. I really hope (in the best possible way) that the Queen pops her clogs around December time and dear old Elton does another candle in the wind, just to pi$$ on the producers bonfires.

Utter drivel. Watched the girls bit tonight for the first time and it looks like most of them were picked for looks rather than singing talent. Even with the old popstars you had a lot of arguments and bitching - this is way too luvvy duvvy especially with the soft as **** judges Geri H and that other gimp.

i just watch for the visuals. The singing is 2nd rate. Geri Haliwell is too skinny - I liked her 'boob out' spice girl era.

In my opinion only no 6 and 10 had any talent the rest were just like any dumb tarts playing kareoke in the pub

I picked the loser - having watched 3 minutes (ie fat tart who couldn't sing). Soooooo predictable.

The girlfriend was watching this and I ended up watching some of it too (it's a small pad!). I couldn't believe the melodramatic and cruel way they singled out the loser. Then making the loser sing was unbelievably nasty. Television has hit a new low IMO.

That Javine is awesome, but I wonder if she'll stay in? I agree, most of those girls were chosen for their looks. It is harder for women to succeed because of the way they look, even if a girl had an amazing voice, she wouldn't stand a chance if she didn't conform to the looks standard!

Fame academy at least has chosen people for their singing ability, not just their looks.

get a life you lot....these are kids trying to do something as a career that they have always wanted to....the attending of an audition on live TV makes a job interview that most of us would have gone through at some time look like a walk in the park.

also, its good TV because ppl watch it (like you) thats what makes good TV.

I watched this with the family and would defo say no 10 was the best, then the young ginger haired girl.

But, the critics need to criticise more, they are too soft.

The best part about the show is the McDonalds adverts with the laughing hyenas tho. Pure quality.

She was fat, really fat and ugly, very ugly. If I'm watching telly I want to see nice looking chicks, not some wobbly tart trying to sing.

I'd prefer to watch Atomic Kitten (sound down of course) for the next ten or whatever weeks.

If you think she is fat, then I assume you prefer stick insects. She may have made a poor choice of dress, but she was hardly fat. She was also IMO, one of the prettier ones. You must be some sort of adonis if you are that fussy mate!

Apparently the girl who left for 'personal reasons' pulled out after she saw the contract they had to sign, on the basis that she thought the contestants were being 'exploited'. Yeah, and they didn't know that before the auditions?!?!?
