So far I've been a good boy and not got nicked, so i'm just curious to know how an SP30 arrives. Is it registered post, or just normal post.
Can you tell by looking at the envelope?

Mine arrived recorded delivery when I wasn't in.
I therefore also got a free, knowing smirk from the postie when I had to go and collect it
Out of interest, if I didn't collect the letter from the post office (because I was out of the country, obviously your honour )would this mean that they hadn't delivered it within the 14 days required ??

Not wanting to split hairs but they actually have to post it in a reasonable time in which it would be expected to arrive in 14 days. In other words if they post it on day 13 and you get it on day 15 then you are in the clear. If they posted it on day 5 and you get it on day 15 then its still valid.

So in theory you could still be done if it arrives with you outside 14 days because the address on the registartion is incorrect for example.
Whether being on holiday would count I don't know, I suppose it could be argued that the NIP was delivered within 14 days - not their fault your not there to see it?
