Default Back in a Scoob after 4 year break - modified White Type R

Back in a Impreza after a 4 year break! (MY00 Mica red), had a Evo IX (dull) and a Merc C55 AMG (awesome!) but decided to go down the 2 car route so bought a Honda Accord 2.2 CDTi estate and this, 98 Impreza Type R as a fun/track car.

Im a bit rusty on whats what in the Impreza modding world, looking for some recommendations on:-

Brake Pads all round (it has EBC yellowstuff on which performed well but I dont rate EBC at all), DS2500 still ranked high? or is there better for fast road/track?

Brake Fluid, something with high boiling point?

Gearbox oil, something that works well with track use?

Gonna stick with Millers 10w/40 engine oil I remember that was good stuff!

Noticed on this the rear hubs/discs are huge, same size as the fronts, remember on MY00 the rear discs were tiny!

You've missed a lot !!!

The new imprezas can fly and submerge under water for 45 minutes without rusty arches !

Bet its like being in a time machine and travelling back to the future !

Hi!

In my opinion the best brake fluid out there is motul rbf 600, I have been super happy with it. For gearbox and diff I use Motul gear 300 (diff motul gear 300LS) 75w90 and engine Motul 300v. Motul oils are above existing standards

I can't see those pics that you uploaded and you mensioned that your brakes look huge are they Brembos? If not Brembos on a classic are allways good buy.

Thanks for all the comments, and yeah good spot it is an Alesi helmet

Ive decided to go for Carbotech XP10 pads, although finding someone who sells them would be useful!, Google searches bring up very little.

Motul fluids, I remember the name, thanks for the reminder.

What quantity do I need to completely drain brake fluid & gearbox & diff oils? Ive no idea!

Anyone recommend coilovers? I remember BC were good value but had some issues with rattles?

Heres a youtube clip of my track time, including getting black flagged, harshly in my opinion, hardly dangerous right sided overtaking!!
