Colin, EACC member can hire the track at £20 a day, but thats not exclusive, you might find someone else there practising or you can join EACC as a gold member (£50) and use the track anytime you like (as long as it's not being used for an organised event)

Ah yes I do know him , long time since he's been out, last time I met him and his wife he was 'landing' on the timing equipment at High Aulgirth hill climb. He appeared to finish as a time registered.
My Westie was halfway up the hill behind him when the red flags came out, so I assumed it had gone off, turned out Stan had tried to cross the ditch and go up the bank, but he took the finish gear with him, must have been about 1996-7.
---john---
Edited to say the Westie was Double entered and I was standing at the bottom watching the clock, otherwise the above reads kind of strange

Right the Single seater in the picture is now Roy's. It is our latest creation, single seater Full Carbon Tub and Carbon Rear cradle, All up weight 262Kg, Runs a Suzuki Hayabusa engine bored out to 1598cc 242bhp at wheels so 923bhp/tonne. He was going to buy a new one of us but this one came up second hand.
At Gurston
We are currently building a replica of this car for a guy in the midlands.
John I take it you now Grahame Wright Junior and Senoir then?

No a nice Suzuki Hayabusa lump with six speed sequential shift 170bhp as standard and only 82Kg with gearbox so massive weight saving. That would be the best tweak.
deuchars's have you any specs?

Andy, I gather you are responsible for the Megapins then ? I looked at one last year with a view to buying it, watched the car/driver do practise and 1st run. Decided, why not, so and went to talk to the chap............ and he'd sold it an hour before !!!!. If I remember correctly his name was Dave and he lived north of Newcastle, think he bought the car from Rob Hewson
Doooh !
Mssrs Wight are relatively well known up here

lol
So what do you recon then?
You will have to arrange a viewing with Roy. He was supposed to be at Knockhill the next day after he bought it but the car has not been looked after that well by its previous owner ond the throttle spindle was broken hence it would not start.

Yes the previous owner put in self tappers to hold the rear wing on!!!!!!!!
The rear wing support broke off at over 120mph!!!!!
Luckily for Roy he was ok and the car was not to badly damaged. Although the car had been very badly treated by its previous owner so we are rebuilding the car and putting it on the new radial tyres. So when he gets the car back it will be even quicker!
