I had a double din installed in my 2002 bug today,great bit of kit,everything connected up just the facia plate (heater controler etc) to put back,that's when the problem started,it wouldn't fit !!! The screen wont shut it's shelf,so the facia needs trimming,or do they somewhere sell a facia which is wider?

Nope,thought of that,no surround etc,it is a double din thing but it all lined up etc,but just a wee bit too big,thought there maybe somewhere to get another plastic facia,tried to chop and file down the present one

Does it fit with the screen dropped down, as if you were putting a CD in? Because I'm pretty sure you can change the default position. If you don't want to do any cutting, then that may be the only way.

Yes...I can get the facia to fit like a glove,and have the screen slightly cocked at an angle which is fine,but then when the engine is turned off it trys to close and makes a funny noise,if I leave it like that surly it would butn the motor out ?? Checked through all the settings and nothing to say you can do otherwise...Dam thing is doing my head in lol
