Default Lets all play guess the engine block and piston game? (please?)

Good morning everyone,

I thought today i would happily liven up everyones day, by trying to actually fiqure out what the heck this engine is i have in my posession

As far as im aware its a closed deck EJ20 (stamped) with forged internals (pistons do look rather new)

But my question is, is it a 2.5 or 2.0? And any ideas what the heck the pistons actually are?

Photos below: (feel free to guess the cylinder heads too?)

Thanks ever so much for anyone who can shed some light

As this obviously wont be a possible conversion for my sport......

What does it say on top of the block EJ20 or EJ25

In all seriousness if its a CDB I will be a 2.0l more than likely

No Idea on heads or pistons as I'm on my phone and can't see them properly

But they could be Omega Pistons ?

EJ20 CDB, pistons prob 92.50mm,Wiseco/Wossner/CP - pics are so blurry - can't see the valve codes but look like LH-B,RH-B head castings, so Version 3~4
Post up the valve codes,Inner or outer shim and the ID lines on the camshafts- that will narrow it down a bit.

Version 5~6 heads then with the LHS20 codes ( i should have spotted the off set manifold bolt holes- too much Guinness lol )
Valves codes should be ID2 for inlets, ED2 T for exhaust.
If pistons are marked STD, then 92.00mm standard bore size.

It's a CDB all right, they LOOK like Wiseco or CP pistons. The only thing that bothers me is somebody building it with nasty cheap composite head gaskets.
I'd strip it completely and check it if I were you, assuming you're going to use it.

That was the plan, just wanted some heads up really

I must admit if i do go ahead, im well a bit scared stripping it, as its not your generic TU that doesnt matter if you fudge up. Anything i should be careful of when seperating the block apart? Eg are the bearings just going to fall and say hi?
