hiya guys, my mates looking to buy a 1993 wrx import. theres a bit of confusion over the gearbox, now the lad says its bin profesionaly converted from automatic to an sti 5speed manual with matching diff. no as far as im aware subaru didnt make an auto wrx impreza. can any1 shed sum light. cheers shaun.

The one he had previous to this was a wrx auto saloon as well

ok so looking at that table subaru did not make a 1993 automatic GC8 impreza wrx saloon. i can find info on the WRX SA with the aiden humphries chasis but thats only an estate. can any1 else she any light?

subaru did make auto wrx's, but i'm not sure in what years. sorry i can't be of much help.

Subaru makes Automatic WRX(i have 2002 BUGEYE 4EAT).If you look at Wikipedia,under GC its listed 4-speed automatic(which is 4EAT)

Hi m8 i have 2 subaru impreza auto's one is a 1997 wrx import and the other is a 2 litre sport import m8 so they do make auto's but in 1993 i'm not sure i would say yes m8 if i had to guess cheer's andy
