Wink Newbie Quesiton about transmision

Good afternoon all,

Picked my first Scooby up from the garage yesterday, a 59 plate STI

VERY different compared to my old Vauxhall Corsa that's for sure! The car is great but it makes a noise when accelerating in 2nd/ 3rd gear and I'm not sure whether this is a characteristic of the car or there may be a problem?

The noise is possibly best described as a lose bike chain and I notice it most when changing into either second or third gear. It seems that initially the car doesn't make the noise at all but after half an hour or so you get to notice it. It is just a bit noisier when accelerating and there is no noticeable performance issues that's for sure.
When I spoke to a techie over the phone he did says that the transmission does sound quite different from a normal car and he didn't seem to concerned. Has anyone come across this before and should I just expect a noisier transmission from a Scooby?
Any helpful comments/suggestions would be appreciated.

Welcome
Do you run your new STI on shell v power or normal unleaded?
There can be some transmission noise, it shouldnt sound like a loose bike chain though.
