Default ECUTEK Re-Map

Hi All,

I am just wondering how much a re-map should be as the ECU has already had one done by a previous owner, would i need to pay for the "licence" if i go to a different tuner from the one that did the original re-map?

Cheers,
Lee

license will be paid for, its paid for the car, not the owner.

why do you want to get it mapped again? if its for additional mods might just be a tweek ratehr than a full map which will prob be half the price so around 150-200

Basically you pay for the time taken from now on, more if it's on a Rolling Road as that has to be paid for too.

Your best bet is to get it mapped by the person/company that did it originally as they will have the existing map on file. Anyone else will be starting from scratch so you may pay more.

If it's a fairly standard spec thay would be fine, however if it's an odd spec (big turbo, non standard induction, big injectors, built engine) I would consider travelling, assuming of course the original mapper/company is keen and knows the car etc.

Ahh no its fairly standard spec.. and i think if i decide to get it done it would be by Alan@Enginetuner now as in the future if i go for a bigger turbo etc etc it will only be a short trip over there, dont forget i live in Guernsey and have to get the ferry over whenever i would need anything done.. so that would be an extra few £££ on top of any work done..
