k&n induction kit
full through decat exhaust
iridium sparkplugs (if these make a difference)

WOULD IT BE AROUND 270ISH?!?

u can get power runs cheep at scooby clinic at the mo and there are other places too such as scoobyworld. if u do that u will get a graph and loads of advice to boot

My guess would be in the 270s assuming it's been mapped, boost seems low for the spec though.

thanks mate...and yeah ive been told to only run it at 1 bar max as to run it at any more i would need forged internals or i will blow the engine...so id rather be safe than sorry lol, also no remap yet but im going to buy a z4 ecu.

i used to run my classic at 1.1/1.2 bar and it was fine, the only mods were chip,full decat panel filter and lightened and balanced flywheel, that was on the rolling road at 300/300, since then i upped the boost along with a 3 bar map sensor and it was very quick, i never got round to see what power it would produce on the rollers, as i stripped it for spares,

with your car i would not bother with the z4, depending on funds, get either a chip or a esl live map board, and go from and as for the internals as long as it has been maintained well it will be ok.

We're running at 240 ish with a K&N induction kit but nowt else.

Whoever told you that these engines will only cope with 1 bar needs re-educating.

My 93 has standard internals and was mapped at 1.5 bar peak by Mr Forrest himself. Granted thats with the appropriate supporting mods.

Yours probably is around 280 with a mines, but you absolutely must run 99 ron fuel and would be better with a less aggresive map.

yeah i only ever do use 99 ron mate.. im gonna turn mine upto around 1.1-1.2 bar then see how it goes. whos the best for mapping and prices?

i would not turn the boost up on that as it is or as the name on the ecu suggests it may go BANG!!!

this amazes me. turn up the boost on an ecu you have already been told already has an agressive map on. why not take the car to someone who knows what they are doing. having said that if you are rich enough to have a new engine rebuild then fair play.
