Default HELP PLEASE READ URGENT

Hi folks,may sound daft but im asking anyway
washed car earlier engine bay also,then went out and found that my bailey single port dump valve has stuck and is not giving the whooooshhhhh noise as they do,im not bothered about having the noise but im worried if its stuck will it damage anything?
ive took the tiny pipe off the top and that is sucking air in{is that correct}
ive took the dump valve out of the silicone hose and it seems to be free,
can i still use the car?
do i need a new one?
can i check anything?
REPLIES NEEDED ASAP AS NEED TO USE CAR ASAP AND DONT WANT TO RISK DOING ANY DAMAGE.

Take the DV off and manually push the piston in and out, while spraying a bit of WD40 in there.

Oh right. I'd still grease it up a bit anyway. What you can push with your thumb, might be loads more than the air pressure running through it.
Washing it shouldn't have affected the hoses on there.

its fine mate. Its a common practice to blank them off on evo's albeit when the MAF is removed as it can cause running problems with air being forced back through the MAF and causing the car to stall

Yes. Your 93 saloon will have the tough-as-old-boots TD05 turbo, so it's okay to run without the DV (or with a stuck shut one) in place.
