Engine wont turn over ???
Right I went to get my car set up today at the rolling road and all was going well until the end !!
fitted the FPR and set up all the fueling and was just about to set the boost when it stopped.
Power run went ok
Left for 15 or so mins while adjusting the boost
Turned the key, it started fine
Went to turn on the fans on the rolling road leaving the engine running
Put the car in gear and went to pull away when it stalled.
Would not turn over and just made a tick tick tick noise like the battery was flat
Put a bar on the crank and it would not turn in any direction
Went to push the car off the rollers and at first it wouldn’t budge (as if it was in gear or something) then after about 5 or so seconds it move
Stopped pushing the car and the same happened again, it didn’t want to move at first then went?
There was no noise, smoke, tick, bang or anything before or after this happened, it just like stalled?
The car was on the rollers for about 30 mins having the fueling done before and didn’t miss a beat and was making 278bhp at 11psi
If the engine had let go I would have expected some sort of noise or sign, could it be something locked up in the gearbox, bell-housing?
Help advise where to start looking would be great as am having a beer or two now and very very fed-up

you clutch pressure plate may have broke apart jaming in the fly wheel teeth or you starter motor has seized as this rests on the fly wheel teeth and if it were to lock you wouldnt be able to turn it by hand . if i was you i would remove intercooler and remove starter its only 2 bolts takes approx 15mins if its not that you might have to drop gearbox as it may also be gearbox locking up resulting in input shaft seizeing the flywheel

humm well I have a FMIC so would be a very easy job to look at the starter motor? If I removed it what would I be looking for, just to see if it spins or not? Think when I get the car home I will start with the started motor then check the cambelt then gearbox off...

Right quick update..
Got the car back today, and the garage tried to turn it over today and it wanted to start but it didn’t when it was hot... They think it could be the crank has gone?
Any ideas on how I can find out without taking the engine out first or without turning it over and killing everything?
Jumping the gun a little I know but if it has gone what am I going to need to fix it?
