Idle control solenoid

You can try to clean it withcarb/brake cleaner but may be easier to replace itBUT it normally causes erratic idle if it is faulty.

might clean it and rest the ecu then, when i drove the car a few week ago when i put the foot down the car just jerked all the way up the road like a kangaroo. but if i slowly put the foot down it was ok. anyone know what could of been causing that? i aint been able to drive it since as i've had the box off changing the clutch, fully serviced it and changed all the fluids, new brake pads and discs etc so wont be able to drive it for another few days to see if that problem had been solved

i had dramas with this and the wastegate solenoid a while back, turned out it wasnt getting any voltage from the main relay. If it doesnt work still when you get it back up and running let me know as i have a spare here somewhere.
The wastegate solenoid is on the inner wing on the front side of the strut pillar, it will have the pipes going to a from the turbo.
