Default Just bought this car from ebay! advice please

hey guys, i was bidding on this Subaru Forester 2.0 turbo on ebay,

Subaru Forester Turbo 2.0i Aero Kit Cheap to Clear MY00 on eBay, also, Subaru, Cars, Cars, Parts Vehicles (end time 28-Jul-08 11:46:29 BST)


i cant belive i won it :O, i thought it will be sold more than that

what do you guys think about it. i know this is not a forester forum, but just generally, how are they? what engine does it have??

and is it worht £1550 regarding the minor faults it has????????????


have i bought it cheap or what??

will the tax cost £400 to for a year or ....?


please give us some opinions

looks really nice with that kit mate, im no mechanic but i dont think it would be problem getting the interior to fit as there is always people selling them on ebay

Think these ones are 240ps, i would also see about getting another auto gearbox, too much hassle trying to convert if they are having problems, but to get it up to scratch your going to have to throw some cash at it.

at the end of the day, you bought it, seems very cheap to me, but then it might be a bitch to sort out. I would wait and see what else it needs.
Its always worth going to see the car before you bid.
Yes tax will be expensive i think.

the manual gearbox has already been fitted with brand new clutch, so there is no need of converting again ! the only fault is the ABS

Might be a bit of a mare to sort the ABS fault out - the Automatic version has a seperate ABS ECU which is linked to the main ABS ECU.
It monitors things like Front and Rear Speed sensors,Brake Switch operation,TPS amongst other things.
Think you will need an Auto Electrician to get this sorted.

or knock up a quick circuit so it puts the abs light on for a few secs on startup and then switches back off so it can pass its next mot

lots of scoobs dont even run ABS
