FAULT CODES 24 & 44

my car has fault codes 24 & 44, idle air control solenoid and wastegate control solenoid valve.

can anyone tell me how to resolve this problem and where these items are located?

Idle control solenoid

You can try to clean it withcarb/brake cleaner but may be easier to replace itBUT it normally causes erratic idle if it is faulty.

car seems to idle fine to be honest, thanks for the pic.

you dont have on of the wastegate solenoid valve do you?

i had the idle control valve code up and had it idle funny once???? A ECU reset cleared the fault and never had a problem again

might clean it and rest the ecu then, when i drove the car a few week ago when i put the foot down the car just jerked all the way up the road like a kangaroo. but if i slowly put the foot down it was ok. anyone know what could of been causing that? i aint been able to drive it since as i've had the box off changing the clutch, fully serviced it and changed all the fluids, new brake pads and discs etc so wont be able to drive it for another few days to see if that problem had been solved

i had dramas with this and the wastegate solenoid a while back, turned out it wasnt getting any voltage from the main relay. If it doesnt work still when you get it back up and running let me know as i have a spare here somewhere.
The wastegate solenoid is on the inner wing on the front side of the strut pillar, it will have the pipes going to a from the turbo.

yeah i thought that was it cylinder shaped with i think 2/3 vaccum like pipes and wiring clip? i have my other scooby with a blown engine i might take parts off that to test it when i get the brakes done tonight.

cheers lads
