As above what would it roughly cost to have one re-mapped (with license)??

Usually around 5-600 for a new license and mapping, and 250-350 if you already have the license?

Above price more or less right, however, as yours is a MY99 like mine maybe you should factor in £80ish for a new MAF

Be aware that once you pay a mapper the licence fee you have to go back to them for further work, or shell out £200 to Ecutek to start again !

Are you sure? When TSL (Richard Bulmer) mapped my dad's car initially, and then my dad took it to Bob Rawle for a remap, he only charged him for the mapping, not the license..

no you don't..

licence stays within ecu.. antoher mapper can remap the ecu using the same licence.. the new mapper just cannot see the map that is in it.. which to be honest is not really an issue as everyone has their own base map they like to start from etc.. no shelling out £200.

if there claiming that mate then there taking you for a ride, once you pay the licence fee then its paid.

sounds like either you've got the worng end of something you've been told or there trying it on
