Default re-mapped

hi all i have a zero sport ecu for a 96 ..97 sti can this be re-mapped as it looks like i can pull the two chips out ....john

Mine that I had for a 97-98 car could not be remapped. The zerosports ecu has other chips added to perform the remap.

97/98 has additional chips to unscramble the code IIRC.
Pre96 can be reprogrammed if they are socketed. But only really to cater for basic mods and UK fuel.
Any more then that needs live mapping using a different interface.

3 plug or 4 plug ecu?

does that mean if its got a zero sports ecu you cant map it for our fuel if so wot would i do? my car i just bought was moded by zero sports has a few zero bits dont know about the ecu tho how do you tell? cheers

97/98 so replacement ecu only jobbie.. Apexi, Link etc

normally an extra chip on the motherboard of your ecu
