Unhappy MisFire advice..Please

I have MY94 WRX, I have recently fitted a VOS chip and the car started to over boost so i booked it into Power Eng to have it tuned and RR and took it easy till then. PE also advised that the car would sometimes run on three cylinders whilst boosting. I hadn't actually noticed this till i took it out and tested afterwards.

This doesn't happen all the time. The other day the car barly moved when i put my foot down so changed into 3rd and was fine.

Is there a way of testing this?
Could it be any thing else?

Thanks

Dave

Sounds like coilpacks and/or plugs. Try putting the car in top gear at about 2000rpm then put your foot on the floor. If it starts missing then its the plugs. If its sporadic and difficult to pinpoint then its probably the coilpacks. Your only option with that is to fit new coilpacks as to test them is to break them....apparently. I've got 4 spare ones if your interested (coilpacks)
