Hello to all
O have a JDM MY97 forester which has the same engine in it as the MY97 WRX.
Engine Mods fitted are as follows:
ITG panel filter
decat downpipe
HKS Super Drager system
Boost gauge

Engine mods on their way are as follows:
HKS FCD
HKS AFR
Dawes Device
what else should I get?
Knocklink?
Lamdalink?
I would go for the ECUTEK 3 but they don't do MY97-98 which is a real bummer but thats why I'm asking you guy's

Thumbs up

Rather than use a dawes device go for a electronic boost controller. They can be fine tuned behind the wheel when weather conditions change. Also they have a safety limit that can be set to save you hitting fuel cut.

I use a Blitz DSSBC and am well pleased with the results. Most of the time it is switched to off, but on the odd ocassion whenn its time for some fun it just takes 2 turns of the switch and its smile time

Cheers

Ira,
Whilst at PE, they said they did a stage 2 chip for MY97/98 Imprezas but weren't sure if it would work on the Forester.
http://www.powerengineering.co.uk/ac...engine.htm#EMU

I didn't persue it as I have more pressing needs for my funds in the shape of piston slap

The basic mods I had took boost almost up to the moddest fuel cut (around 14.5 psi) so anything major will need something like a chip to get around or play within this boundary.
