Impreza without much history - maintenance?
Hi all,
I have a 2006 WRX Type UK that I bought earlier this year and am enjoying a lot, however I have very little paperwork for it which makes me doubt how it's been maintained. I seem to have an invoice from a company named Slowboy Racing for some oil and a power map (no details of that, so unsure if there are actually any gains - if anything it feels a bit lumpy at times!) but no filters etc from December 2017, and that's about it.
My thought is that I should play it safe and have the car serviced (I assume it's just a regular service, or do Imprezas usually like something special? I hear they should always have a very good quality oil), but as this is my first Impreza I'm not sure what else I should be looking to have completed?
It's done around 81k miles, and the only modifications I'm aware of are a Forge dump valve, sports cat and some kind of aftermarket exhaust (I was told it might be Japspeed, but I don't know how to confirm).

Thanks, yeah it adds a fair bit to the cost, but as you say - an engine will be a lot more!

Give Neil a ring and see if he's got any details of the work done?
