Default Hello from newbie

Hello everyone!! Brought my first scooby yesterday from main dealers, collecting next Saturday!! Its a Impreza RX non turbo as due to age and experience couldn't justify the heavy insurance costs of a turbo!! Hopefully after few years experience on this car I could change for a turbo!! The car has been modified on the outside but engine is 100% standard. Here are pic's of my car, what do you think?
Helen

Very nice babe!

I went for a non-turbo with my first scooby too(likewise insurance costs etc), but i gotta admit though it sure didnt take long for me to want some power under my foot to match the aggresive looks of the car too!!!he he

Welcome to SN Helen

thanks the last person who had the car based it on the rb320 which the dealer converted it for him so was done to a high standard, but he didnt check insurence and being 17 - 18 years old and then couldnt get it insured so he sold it back to the dealer so the car only has 9400 miles on the clock which im really happy about cause i wanted a car with low miles just carnt wait to pick it up

Thanks for the messages peeps!! I have met a few people before from here at a few meets/tunnel runs when attending with my boyfriend leescoobynut. Always like the impreza's but insurance is an issue so as soon as I see the looks of this one and that it didnt have turbo I just knew it had to be mine!!

Lee is gutted that he sold his classic, so he is on the look out for another scooby, so hopefully will see more people at the meets etc!!

I have no idea what brakes are on the car atm but I did want to get the red bembro ones to make it look smart in time but as im a snail of a driver compared to other scooby drivers hopefully they will be ok to start with?

yeah i was gutted to let my car go but had to be done so... but will be back soon enough, thanks for giving my other half a warm welcome she has wanted one since i met her as soon as she got in mine, and i think this would be a good start of due in insurence etc and to get used to a scooby ,and to answer the question about the brakes they are just the standard one pot type of brakes so will be looking to up grade them at some point cause as you said the weight of the car would be to much for the standard ones but she aint a fast driver so will let her get used to the car first, cheers guys
