NEEDIN FLAMES
#1
Can Anyone advise me on a good easy way to get pops and flames from a sti type R which currently only has a Blitz Nur spec back box ?
This would be greatly appreciated , I need to show the Ford/Vauxhall boyz on the local cruise some flames and cracks as I ease past them !

Get a decatted downpipe and a straight through centre pipe. You will get small flames out the back when bouncing off the limiter!!!!!!!!!!
I've got a scoobysport full system on my 96STi which is ......WICKED.........

stick a sparkplug up the exhaust? This is what some of the RS boys are doing, and I believe that a certain Mr Rainbird might have such a modification on his cossie, though I could be wrong.

Or how about an extra injector in the exhaust, or perhaps a fuel spray, if you fit it in the manifold it should get hot enough to self ignite!! Don't try this at home, I'm just being stupid and wondering hypothetically if this would work and certainly not talking from any authority on the matter !!
Me, I get flames anyway, straight through catless exhaust!!

ScoobyWRX, Ken Ross has a de-catted Magnex full system and vent to air dump value on his STi 2 (you might have seen it around town - it's got the full Carlos Sainz colours on it). If you're going to Ardoe on Sunday, Ken's car should be there if you want a lookee.
Makes a great noise and it's bloody quick (even by Scooby standards )

I would hope anyone above the age of 17 who had a serious interest in cars would not consider the spark plug in the exhaust thing.
The Mike Rainbird way of spitting flames, although slightly more expensive, is much better. This also has the unfortunate side effect of making your car accelerate like a jet fighter . But at least you wont have to drill your exhaust.
