Question

Are these any good for scoobies? I need a reasonably (?) priced road clutch and have been given a good price for a Sachs clutch.
Any comments?

Has anyone tried/heard of these clutches, or am I waisting my time?
Or is the only real choice the Subaru own, Helix(sp?) or AP only?

£850??????
Is it gold?????
You should pay no more than £550 for ANY of the decent clutches, icluding Helix and AP, FITTED! A bit more if you want your flywheel skimmed, but not £300.

Tommy, does this include labour? This is about 2-3hrs isn't it? What rates are you paying?
The Sachs clutch price is £190 incl VAT plus fitting and skim if required, this the the reason I'm asking as I heard the are a good name (suspension bits anyway).
Any comments? Too good to be true?? When I slip my clutch on my car at the moment I can easily get it to smoke! It dosn't feel very strong.

STEF it's an AP clutch, they claim they always skim the flywheel ,quoted £450+vat for clutch £35 for a bearing 5/6 hours labour inc skim! alex they did'ent quote an hour rate but said they may be able to save me £50/£60 in labour if nothing goes wrong, but if i take the car willing to pay £850 im sure the bill be at least £850. tommy

Tommy.
Speak to Mike @ Scoobymania. He arranged for the fitting of an AP clutch for me at Charlesworths.
The retail price of the clutch is £360 + vat, the bearing was £50ish and the labour was £150.
His number is 0115 9133199.
