When do you change the spark plugs? Should be easy but..

This should be easy but so far it isn't
I took my MY01 WRX PPP for its 12 month service today,15000 miles on the old system.
Before I went I checked the service schedule on the SIDC and expected to get a new set of spark plugs at this mileage. When I didn't I asked why not. I was told that the Impreza only needs new plugs every 30000 miles and was shown the servicing guide by the manager, which showed this was the case.
Then we checked the owners manual and that shows they only need changing every 60000 miles.
Got home and re-checked the SIDC and also independant websites like Power Engineering which show they need replacing every 15000 miles.
Now I'm relly confused is it 15000, 30000 or 60000 miles they need replacing at ?
Sorry if this has been doneto death but I'm really
Thanks
Nathan..

Its "normal" for dealers to replace every 30,000, personally I change every 15,000. If you are running a std car then 30K is fine, a modded car at more boost needs changing more often.

I thought the Impreza/WRX used platinum electrode spark plugs to help extend the time between services?
Subaru used to suggest changing at 60k miles. At approx £40 a set, it's not something that you want to be doing unecessarily - especially if you are going to get a garage to change them!!

as above, had my plugs changed at the 37.5k service, due to hesitation at hi rpm 4500-5500rpm, fixed the prob so i would say at least 30k service

As above - Running higher than standard boost wears down the electrode tip a lot more quickly and when the gap gets to about 1mm car can hesitate. I, along with others, had this porb and thought coilpacks were dying but was in fact just spark gap. Isn't always necessary to change them but since it's such a pain in the butt job (compared to most other cars) I'd do a change for new and make sure gap is set correctly.

Thanks for all the replies.
I think I'll wait til the next servie and get them changed then. The car is running really well at the moment so I dont want to interfere too much.
Thanks again
