Print spooler error?

Print spooler error?
Getting this again. Gives me 0x000006ba.
Googling it results in hits, but they are either facile, and result in Windows help which then says "cannot help", or VERY technical.
I've been and told the spooler to restart, but still nothing happens. Next time I check, it's stopped again.
IS there a quick fix?
Windows 7 32 bit.
TIA

Could be a dependant service has crashed or the drivers have become corrupt.
1) Reboot printer and PC see if that helps, if not goto 2.
2) Reinstall printer software.

My printer attached to my iMac recently decided to corrupt it's own drivers and libs which in turn caused a kernel panic preventing the Mac from booting!
Fixed, but what a pain in the a$$ printers are.

Obviously mine is extremely basic requirements but iv never had this 22.50£ printer refuse since i got it.
I think my dumped pc probably refused 50% the time.
I'd have happily launched it out the window ( pc and printer)

I run 2 PC's, an Acer Netbook, an ASuS Netbook, an iMac, a Macbook Pro and a Linux machine, printer errors seem to be the same throughout.

Just had a go.......to start with it wouldn't print, everything said it was OK...then, on a closer look, I found we'd also switched the printer off to reboot.
Switched it on and away it went.
Many thanks to all who have contributed, and especially to BlkKnight.
