Wow, only 10 seconds slower than the real life production car fastest time of 6:48...

The power band are completely different between stage 2 and 3, go in your garage and check the graph shape under tuning. If you bought the car second hand change the oil and refresh the engine should give you a few extra horses

Are you checking the Standard tab in the garage menu?

I thought someone had nicked my Go kart until i noticed the other tabs on the left hand side of the menu.

Excellent, seems like power increases as the engine beds in and loosens up

Got mine to 507bhp, have my lap of 6:58 recorded but can't work out how to transfer it from ps3 to internet.

I think i could shave atleast ten seconds off my time if i got every corner perfect, i did have one little excursion on my fastest lap.

Anyone tried the ring at night, i managed 7:15. something. Remembered most of the corners.

Have bought pretty much everything possible for the car, tuned to 427bhp.

Have now found out that i had missed the ECU upgrade and now have 533bhp, hoping to shave atleast 10-20 seconds of my best time if i get every corner spot on.

Have purchased today on the used car section a 01 Bug STI Wagon and an 04 Spec C.

Got a lap of 6:56 with the 2011 STI, feels a lot stiffer than the 05 Spec C and a bit more twitchy on the limit, but has good corner speed. Might try and stiffen the springs on the Spec C to see if that lowers the lap time a bit.

Cheers, there's a few corners i lifted on which i know i can take flat out and a few i had the wrong gear for as i hit the limiter straight away, that was one of my slower laps at 7:07 when the car had around 490bhp, now has 533 i think.

Amazing track to drive once you've learnt it all, i think it's worth the price of the game just for this track.

Has taken over an hour to upload that video, shame youtube isn't quicker

I've never really liked this track, (too big maybe?)
but i needed a track where the time vs payout + experience level gain was good and this looked quite good,
so I thought I'd give it a shot and just managed to get a 6:45......in an Audi R8 (800+BHP) not the best car to learn it in but still once I've learnt it a bit more I'll give it a pop in an Impreza.

Did a bit of fettling with the Spec C this morning, stiffened the springs which made the car harder to keep on track due to it being a bit more of a handfull on the limit but ultimately gave me a quicker lap time.

Previous best 6:58, today done a 6:46.

Video of the lap timed at 6:46.030, sound quality not that great and video quality should improve shortly.

Should be able to get a few more seconds off the time due to a few errors on lap.

Took me a good hour and a bit to get a half decent lap, before i had the car with softer springs and was much easier to control and could get a decent lap everytime round.

For this lap i stiffened the springs which made it quicker through the corners but very hard to control once you got near the edge of adhesion.

Settings.

Lowered 25mm front and rear
Spring rate 10 front and 8 rear
Damper extension 8 front 8 rear
Damper compression 7 front 7 rear
Anti roll bar 7 front and 7 rear
Camber angle 1.0 front 1.0 rear
Toe angle -0.10 front 0.20 rear (these settings i have left alone)
Front/rear torque distribution 35/65

Next thing i'll do is fiddle with the torque distribution and see if it makes it better.

Went to have a fiddle with torque distribution but it can only go to 35/65.

Haven't adjusted the above mentioned paramaters, will have a look in the morning. Really need to try it on a smaller track as on the nurburgring there is so much coming at you all the time, you don't get much time to take in what your adjustments have done.

Spec C only really understeers if coming into the corner to quick, if you can get the speed and line right you can pretty much floor it through and out of the corner without much trouble.
