Time to update the games..... Suggestions
I've just spent 2k on a new processor, a new motherboard, new memory and 2 graphics cards.
Oh yea and a 24" monitor.
Doom and half life should max out nicely now,. but I haven't really kept up to date with the new game releases out lately, please suggest / comment on your current favs please so I can make a SWAG at what to buy next.
Cheers

Get FEAR!
Its is outstanding! At full graphics settings I suggest you wear some decent headphones or get a quality 5.1 setup for it, truly Trouser staining stuff!
HL2 as you said as well as counter strike source
Prey is a great game too, new release!
Also try gamestation for 2nd hand games as you'll get some bargins!
Oh, quake4 is top notch too

Never really got on well with UT, found it too similar to doom, just running and shooting.
Definately prefer HL2 etc, bit of thinking to go along with the mindless violence.
To be fair the last game I bought was battlefield 2, and havent had the chance to load that up for a couple of months.
I miss the early days of online gaming when red alert would be played in dos mode...

Hello
UT2004 is the latest one, although UT2007 will be released in October and will probably stretch your nice, shiny new machine.
In addition to the ones above, I really like Postal 2!

Been playing Prey on the 360 - cant say I'm all that stuck on it really, I know it uses the Quake 4 engine but there was no need to reuse the levels too. Feels very short also - you can complete some levels by just walking to a spot and watching a video - easiest 20 gamerpoints you'll ever come across...
