Thumbs down

B*stard thing has munched my drive C: a primary NTFS partition-

it did this during a resize operation when the program locked and my PC crashed.

Now the O/S (win2K) can't see it and PM8 reports it as giberish no logical drive letters.

We tried PM and it had a habbit of slowing down the drive access times.

PM hasn't let me down yet.

Anyway, you just restore from the backup you took before kicking off the resize...

lol@backup

I was doing the resize as my backup software wouldn't install in the small partition.

Oh well I only lost a bunch of ring videos, top quality **** and all my personal documents!

Do a search on the net for recovery tools. Some of these can still read the data on the disk.

This SW has never let me down (yet).

Anyway, why change the structure of your primary partition without taking a backup (at least of the data anyhow)?

Answer: cos I'm an idiot!

At least it was just a few vids and my win98 installation that got vaped. I'm gonna try some recovery tools but I'm not holding my breath. Top tip for all PM8 users out there- backup your data

Impossible in my case as my backup device wasn't working due to insufficient disk space- thus the repartitioning.

Can anyone reccommend some recovery tools? Happy repartitioning!
