Check the server system log files using event viewer for errors with the w32time service. I have same problem and its to do with Daylight saving and the fact the service is not running correctly. I have yet to sort it out because i haven't got time!
The Windows Time Service was not able to find a Domain Controller. A time and date update was not possible.
This Machine is a PDC of the domain at the root of the forest. Configure to sync from External time source using the net command, 'net time /setsntp:<server name>'.
lol just bloody work will you, its only the service that runs the time ffs

Help please. We have some new machines at work running Win2000. Every time we log in they pick up the current time from the server... AND SUBTRACT AN HOUR!!!! Arrgghhh
Is it an error with summertime thingy???? - Is there a cure??
Cheers

all the other PCs show correct time from server. (give or take a few minutes - why can't they set it to the actual correct time??? ) Just the new win2000 machines - Compaq EVO 1.8 GHz.
Daylight saving and time zones are correctly set.
I tried being clever and changing to a different time zone... but that upset all my outlook meeting schedules
So... 'More Input' please

find out where they're getting their time source from for certain..
stop the windows time service and run w32tm -v on the command line.
scroll up the resulting output and locate which time master they're using, confirm that it is the correct time source..

-v gave some techno babble and wouldn't help me...
- AdjustTokenPriviledges failed.

OK, so its using GMT etc etc - however if its syncing against a time master thats an hour out then the clock on the client will be an hour out..
try doing w32tm -v > time.txt and then paste the contents of time.txt
