Interesting read this and I agree with a lot of whats been said from both parties.
Good luck with the sale, but your not doing a good job advertising on a national forum and expecting to get people travelling the length of the country based on poor quality photo's.
Valet the car, get a nice set of photo's up from every angle, down the flanks, every panel (especially the rear quarters), under the bonnet and the interior and you never know you may end up with the cash transferred to your bank without the new owner even travelling to view.
With the photo's I had on my add the money was in my bank 3 days before the new owner came to even view/collect. And yes it was a UK classic and for over £5000.

The car was so good I bought it back 18 months later........and so glad I did ...it won't be leaving me again.......

I am chuffed for you that you bought it back mate I don't know how you slept at night letting it go but you may have had a good & valid reason.

If it was mine I would change the wheels to 17" as IMHO 18" look too big for a classic.
You are a lucky man to have bought this back.

Good luck with the sale WR Prodrive, the car sounds like a decent example
Here is a link to a car I sold earlier this year just to give you a idea how easy a car can sell if the advert is well written and has good photos to prove its worth - https://www.scoobynet.com/subaru-444...0518-sold.html
I don't think you will have too much selling yours but it is the wrong time of year so expect keeping it until the new year

with reference to the wheels, they are not the st2's as your ad stated, you posted a picture of the brochure stating this is exactly what your car looks like, hence why i said you have the wrong alloys, the less desirable alloys IMO. cant wait to see some pics in daylight if you ever get round to actually washing it.

I'd paste all those pics into the first post.
Good luck with the sale. Still think you're mad to sell it after so long, I think you'll regret it in time when you realise how hard nice ones are to fin these days. I bought an Sti the other week and I should be selling my MY00 Uk Turbo, trouble is it's done 70k, rust free, original paint and is a lovely car. I just know I'll regret it. But that said my V6 Sti only has 64k and is just as original, hmmm not easy.

Good luck with the sale WR Prodrive.
I had a very similar one for sale this time last year ( https://www.scoobynet.com/subaru-444...eg-2001-a.html ) - also owned from new!
Like you I was fortunate not to have to be rushed into accepting an offer (even though running that and my PPP'd Spec D wasn't exactly cheap ) but I found that, apart from very cheeky offers, I didn't get any real interest until well after Christmas - finally sold in February for £2,600. (But maybe it was because I'm located miles from anywhere...)
So hold out for the right buyer, but the final price will probably break your heart given what you've put into it
