Default 2000 WR Sport Prodrive **SOLD**

***NOW SOLD***

FOR SALE

My year 2000 (W reg) Impreza.

1 owner from new.

I purchased the car new from Cheam Motors,Surrey.

Subaru UK sent my car straight to Prodrive from new where it was built to WR Sport spec with the following Prodrive upgrades-

Prodrive/STi suspension kit with bilstein dampers and eibach springs

17 inch Prodrive wheels in Gold

Quickshift gear change

WR Sport rear spoiler (WRC replica with integral brake light)

PIAA driving light conversion (one of the best mods to a car ever!)

Side/rear body extension sills and wing mirrors colour coded.

Uprated PPP engine management system

Revised Intercooler ducting

Prodrive stainless performance exhaust (removing rear cat)

The cost of these enhancements were £6668

I also spec'd the car with a full leather interior (£1350) and electric sunroof.

I decided not to have air-conditioning as it weighed a lot and sucked power from the engine.I wanted a light and responsive car and a pure driving experience.

By the time the whole deal was done i had pushed the purchase price up to £28363 from about £20,000 for a standard Impreza Turbo.

I was never quoted figures but i read in a magazine that a WR Prodrive had been tested at 245bhp and 280ft of torque.

The only other modification is a Scooby Sport De-Cat down pipe fitted by Cheam Motors from new.

THE CAR
-----------

So lets fast forward 13 years to today.

She has only ever been serviced at 2 subaru main dealers (Cheam Motors until they closed and then,at their recommendation Bell and Colville)

She has only ever had fully synthetic oil and has never, ever been run on 95 ron fuel (only Super unleaded).I wish i would say only Shell V Power but sometimes i cannot find it so other brands of 98/99 RON get put in.

She has a full Subaru service history with all stamps and receipts and a folder with her whole history including every tax disc and every MOT with no time off the road.

She has been supremely reliable, never, ever breaking down or not starting (that JD Power survey wasn't wrong!).

Here is the history-

Delivered- 9/5/00

Service-Cheam Motors-mileage 1172-22/06/00-mobil 1 oil

Service-Bell and Colvill-mileage-59768-9/9/13-Shell Helix-New Front brake discs and pads.

I have all the original bills of sale, prodrive certificates etc.

This car has never been worked on by anyone apart from Subaru and has not been modified or mapped since its original Prodrive upgrade.

Her mileage is now 61,000 and is going up slowly as i still drive her.

It will be a shame to let her go but i have looked after and no expense has been spared.Everything Subaru told me to do,i did.

The car has been used in London so condition while good for the age shows all the signs of a car that has been used for 13 years.

Incar entertainment- Kenwood anniversary set (45w x4) with single CD player built in.Focal component speakers (including separate tweeters) in front doors and rear shelf.Installed professionally and discreetly by Audio Design,Kingston.

£5000 ONO

(WRC Number plate for sale separately)

No part exchanges,no time wasters please.

Every single MOT from first issue 2003 to last issue 2013.

Barry my car is unabused.

I think the second clutch at 58K backs that up,and the fact that both clutches
lasted almost exactly the same mileage.

I will really try and get the pics up this weekend- sorry for the delay.

Sounds nice but I wouldn't say a clutch every (circa) 28k miles is a noteable point to prove lack of abuse

Thats why i asked myself ive owned 3 impreza's and done alot of miles in them and none ever needed a clutch, even with extra power going through them...

Hi

Both times the clutch was changed it was because I could feel the starting of a slip
when on full power from low RPM in 5th gear.

As soon as that happened the car was sent in and the clutch changed, the first one at main dealer cheam motors and the second one at main dealers bell and collville.

It's rare to find a one owner unabused example,I know that and you guys are naturally suspicious- I would be too but remember good cars and honest owners are out there and sometimes cars like this come along.

As for the clutch every 28K, if you guys think that isn't normal then all I can think of is that the car has spent its life in London.
The thought of potential damage to the gearbox and diffs with all that traction always stopped me launching it and while driven swiftly on the open road it hasn't been thrashed.

I chose to go with the leather upgrade rather than the cloth recaro's.

If i was trying to troll you guys it wouldn't be with a standard W registration classic scooby.I would be a little more imaginative than that.
I work two jobs, seven days per week and i'm only selling the car because the missus has said its got to go.She has been saying that since 2007 so i'm in no rush and i'm not going to break my neck taking photographs of something i'd rather not sell LOL.
As for not having pictures of it through the years- i just searched through my pictures and the only picture of a car i could find was one i took of my 2005 Blob Eye with a parking ticket on it to dispute a parking fine. Not everyone takes pictures of their cars as a matter of course especially when they didn't buy them until they were in their 30's.

Which Prodrive suspension kit does it have as Prodrive did a couple for the classic.

Any rust on the rear arches or anywhere else?

I am sorry if I have offended you jumping at a conclusion but a new member and a very well written advert with no pics sounded too good to be true.

Regarding the suspension, is it the Prodrive professional suspension it has? The professional kit came with a rear upgraded anti roll bar.

Prodrive did 2 kits for the GT, the name of the other kit escapes my memory now.

Edit: after some searching/reading it seems that the WR Sport has a uniquely designed suspension by prodrive, there is more info here: http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=59697

Every modification on the car was carried out by Prodrive before the car was registered including the suspension package and I have every receipt and a specific timeline.

All of the information is in the original post.

I am happy to post receipts, prodrive certificates and anything else relating to the cars 100% full service history.

I am **** about receipts.I know how important it is to have every single one.

This car comes with an A4 folder with the receipts starting in year 2000 with the initial bill of purchase and prodrive receipts and continuing with every single specific service receipt to the present day.

Will subscribe to this thread to see how it pans out.

You do realise that £5000 is top and I really do mean 'top' money for a classic, even if it is a one owner car.
And for the clutch to go every 28000 miles? I would say that you have two faulty clutches or it has been ragged within an inch of life. I have had 4 imprezas and covered over 100,000 miles in them. Not once did I need a new clutch. Yes, I know that they fail, but usually around 70-80k, even if it did spend all its time in London. Trying to use this a selling point really will not wash with the majority of members on here.

And to be honest, asking £5000 and not providing some very good pictures is an insult to the members on this site. I would have thought that being your pride and joy for so long that you (like me) would have hundreds of photos of your car. In my case, most are taken after a good wash and polish.

It would be great if this is what you say it is, but there have been so many fraudsters/chavs/idiots on here as of late, all trying to sell dodgy Imprezas for silly money. Every car has a past, I realise that. But as I said, for £5000 every panel had better be mint, no kerb marks to alloys and no damage to the interior.

You may not like what I had posted, but I am only saying what everyone else is thinking.
