1994 Version Sti RA.... Restoration Project.
Last batch for now....

You can see the nice clean edge of the tunnel where the stone chip finishes.

Also I've painted the sump...

I have to add in all honesty I knew it would look nice but I was not expecting this, I've been working on this at home 7 days a week for months now, all my prep work and what I think I can admit to project management came to a point and that was last Monday. I've been putting in 20-25 hours a week into this from the early part of this year and it has taken over my mountain biking and my pool nights for two and I will be pleased now to get back to some sort of normality here soon.

Serious graft Si....
Serious results. Be proud mate, I'd be more than proud of what you've achieved and your quality of finish. Money can't buy you taste, this is perfection.

Thanks Frayz I really appreciate that, I have put a lot of thought into this resto and the colour scheme, I went for grey so it will not show the dirt like the black OEM would plus it simply works with white perfectly I feel and then the silver drops into it as its the same colour spectrum.
I've not got the Rally Armour flaps on yet
Thanks micky.... It's been a demanding 8 months but now I know it was worth it, it was very difficult to understand what the finish would be like until this week as well. There will still be work to complete on it but when it's on the road and home things will be so much easier.

Jon.... What can I say Cheers Kev

The garage that's doing a lot of the work has set up a Facebook page this week and have added a few pics of the build, there is a discussion that the next project could follow the same vain as mine but be a Porsche, the owner of it was there today looking over mine and discussing what was involved. I think they are seriously considering offering this sort of restoration package to customers.

I appreciate the question but I'm not going to divulge the costs on the build
Let me just say I'm comfortable with it and also with it in its breakdown of individual sections. I was very lucky with the shell it was in really good condition in many respects even though it was rusty it was not to deep and excessive which helped a lot with the shell work.

I've been very lucky and sussed out a few very good people for the separate parts of the job, all coming together well now. Don't worry I never imagined this either

New age resto next Sir
Now if my memory is still working that's Simon as well there
I've not seen you around in a very long time, I'm assuming you still have the car tucked away did I pick something up that you may be on the road soon? Very pleased your enjoying the build
Me to Glenn, it was on plan but I never got around to it... I was intending on bringing the sump home to do originally but never got it together
Have you got fed up with them wheels yet Merv
Merv I'm as surprised as everyone with the finish quality, all I have done is a part at a time and packed them away and you don't see what the big picture is at all then
Cheers pal

What's your garage looking like there I seem to remember your doing a bit of re organising.
Looking very nice indeed Simon, I am glad to see that it has turned out even better than you were expecting.
I am looking forward to seeing this very soon, it really does look better than new.
