Much better Ty... I stood looking at it Saturday thinking is this mine ?? It was a bit bewildering I can't wait now to see it get further along during this week.

I can't wait to see the car up close and personal, the pictures look superb so seeing it in the flesh im sure will be a treat I may have to take a trip down and act like a pervert
Hi Craig, yes stick a few pictures up, you may get mixed reactions with the wheels fitted but the paint job was brilliant and the trick Craig did with the arches really was very clever indeed.

Si, this is beautiful.
Cheers Shaun I was going to ask you if you could do some pictures and you beat me to it, all of your pictures are really good and some are superb and I am really looking forward to seeing what you come out with from the RA.
The only thing is you will need to PS some of the dents for now as there are still small phases of work I will be doing after I am back on the road.

Plans for the week ahead will be to collect boot, wings, bonnet and bumpers which are still at the paint shop. When all are fitted Craig will go the the workshop and line all the panels up and run the polisher over because all of these items are still in spray booth finish, he wants to finish them on the car where they are secure.

The discs will be swapped so the grooves run the other way and the rest fitted on, the car will then be on wheels... Next brake lines to be fitted and made as the old ones where beyond good mostly, followed by the wiring, need to get the loom back together and Rhys did say he wants to try and get it to the point of starting the engine next week.

Exciting week ahead.

One thought, if it's going to be a while before you fit the hard lines for the brakes, you might want to refit the plugs to the hoses.

Look forward to seeing more pics soon.

Yea I get what you mean with the wheels, either way it will look better a little lower IMO, he's got the covers for the lights, and is having a small plate made for the front, he just wanted to get it refreshed first and is now doing the other bits, here's a few pics, Craig certainly knows how to do a good job, these were before it was cleaned tidy

There's a big lip on those arches it's hard to see on the pictures and its a testament to Craig's body work skills that you can't see it hardly. It's the best way I've ever seen to do it.

Thanks Rich brake lines will be fitted this week so the uncapped ends will not be left to long open.

F,ing stunning! seriously top job indeed!

What I'm liking even more is most of the fresh painted things above are not new, but refurbed, repainted and refitted.

I would so love to do this time mine (its sore bloody needing it as well) If only I had the know how.

Cheers Dunk.... The refurbishing of parts was one of the most important aspects for me, ok cost is a big factor don't get me wrong but to maintain the integrity of the car was very important for me also. Just imagine a lotto win and big budget and I would have done it the same as I have even down to seeing the bead blasted rust patches through the paintwork on the chassis components.

Also I've painted the sump...

I have to add in all honesty I knew it would look nice but I was not expecting this, I've been working on this at home 7 days a week for months now, all my prep work and what I think I can admit to project management came to a point and that was last Monday. I've been putting in 20-25 hours a week into this from the early part of this year and it has taken over my mountain biking and my pool nights for two and I will be pleased now to get back to some sort of normality here soon.

Stunning job Simon

Bloody hell looks so great, real awesome job there

Trailer never

I'm so looking forward to driving this car and with the handling mods it should be fantastic we would take a day to get to Combe with it on the back of the lightweight

I'm focusing effort on Rallyday but we shall see... I'm not compromising to get there so lets see how things pan out, either way I will be there.
