Some bit's here.

Fitted some red vacuum hoses and cleaned up the top radiator support. The joys of a garage and light.

Some cosmetic stuff.

Matt Black header tank, Hammerite High Heat paint. colours look iffy due to the flash and pooh camera phone.

Sytec ends and braided hoses.

Mr Kitey's done my rear door cards too. Pics to follow when the fronts are done.

Sorry about the pics again!

How easy is it to change a steering rack?

Got a Type R Quick Rack to fit and new engine cradle.

Picked up the door cards tonight having had them covered in alcantara.

What do you think?

They match the Prodrive Recaro's. Can't wait to get them fitted.

Lee did an awesome job. If I had his enthusiasm and energy I would be a Major General.

Will do, but it won't be until the spring. The winter is being spent doing the mechanicals.

Default UPDATE

The door cards are fitted and I'll get some pics up when it's a bit brighter and dry.

Refitted all the engine bay bits and she fired up first time. But it then went a bit Pete Tong .

She was hunting, stalling, splutting and generally running like broken washing machine. Checked all the fuel lines as they had been renewed but no leaks. It was stalling at junctions and no boost abover about 3.5k. So, called MP24 for a hand.

Fitted cable ties to all the vacuum pipes just in case I had a leak as I had renewed them. Took the idle control valve off and it was covered in a black goo, almost a tar, so that got a clean up. Started it up and it went mental again .

Reset the ECU and it settled down .

Took it for a run and the problem was back .

Sussing out I had some sort of air leak, so started to take the intercooler off to find the jubilee clip nearest the inlet manifold not sitting right .

Wee adjust and the old girl is back .

Lesson learned.

The roof is on .

https://www.scoobynet.com/projects-4...l#post10480623

When I get it back the steering rack, new front engine cradle, re-bushed alloy arms, turbo and sport cat to go on.

And possibly the roof flap.

Not got a free day/weekend until March , the MOT is due and Ryan is going to have a look at the hesitation between 2.5 and 3.5k rpm.

Hoping for the 1st week in March. I can then crack on in the garage and get the bits done.

Spotted the thread the other day. He's done a good job on that roof. There will be nothing left to do if you carry on at this rate!

Managed to get the flap sorted out by our favorite "hobbler". I only took it down to get the hinges sprayed up in prep for the wrap.

Within 24 hours he had done the complete flap in 86F and wrapped the outside as well . It should match the roof.

Also bought some billet hose seperators, should look good in the bay when I get the Scoob back and my arris in gear.

I'll drop in tomorrow to sort out the contribution to the cambelt fund.

Got to say Ian,you should be immensly proud of what you've achieved with this project.

Also the skills and workmanship of our fellow scooby netters who've helped you with this should be applauded Lee's patience and care in the quality of his work is excellent and the roof looks simply stunning.
This will be a gorgeous car and will get many people talking at the shows you're attending.

Looking forward to seeing it finished (if it ever will be) Just don't get welsh cake crumbs in it
