Fuel Filler Pipe and ARB Mounts
Mostly today I got covered in crud again.
I bit the bullet and bought some Whiteline Uprated ARB Mounts and whislt I was at it changed the fuel filler pipe over. With the ARB off and the wheel removed it's quite easy but **** me the pipe was in sh*t street .
The drivers side ARB mount came off OK but the bolt snapped in the passenger side. I had to drill it out and re-tap the bolt hole
Plastic cover is now refitted over the filler pipe and looks the dogs!
Just need to put the ARB back on tomorrow and get the alignment done .

Bought the rear sub frame and lateral arms as a oner, £30 from the bay. Laterals and trailing arms cost £40 to get coated.
Bush kit was complete from Thor Racing.

Bit the bullet and forked out on a decent socket set. Ended up buying a tap and die set as well . The bolts are slowly getting replaced as you can see from the ARB mounting bolts. The rest will follow.

£20 cheaper than this .

And this
£79 including VAT .

The last of the bits are now here (They really are the last bits and I am not buying anymore, ever, ever, ever, ever, honest!).
STi Type R Quick Rack with new boots and TRE's.
Lower rad bar.
New fans with shrouds.
New Backing plates for the front hubs.
ALK kit.
HARD RACE engine and gearbox mounts.
Some supplementary bushes.
The only things left from the original list are now cosmetic, engine dress up bolts, red hoses and a few other bits. Ecept the new alloy arm's with poly bushes and the front engine sub frame.
One thing i have that I am not sure about are Red LED's for the dash pod .
Not sure?
Just a good clean and then get going on the external paint work.
And that's it. REALLY.

I know I may be having a dilemma but I still have stuff to do.
So, I have been cracking on with stripping the door cards down. In a while they are getting re-trimmed and I have always had an idea to do the door handles as I was told it could not be done but I am having a go.
So, spare door cards out of the shed and time to remove the handles.
Drill out the silver pop rivet.
And this falls out, keep it.
Now using a 6mm wood bit drill out the plastic bits that have been melted over that hold the door handles on. Once you have done that remove the screws that you can see.
The handle should now snap out from the door card.
Once its off prise away the inside piece of the grab handle having undone the two screws.
You can now see the inside of the handle. I managed to pry away a small edge of the cover and it peeled away and left the soft touch foam still intact.
I'll be getting them covered soon and they will be reconnected to the door using trim screws with washers fitted and some top glue .
More to follow soon.

Been busy lately moving house and work is manic.
The door cards will be done soon but the other bits where starting to pile up.
So the garage is sorted and I have started to get amongst the stuff left to fit. Knocked off early today and managed to swap the radiator fans/shrouds and bottom support bar.
Here's the old one's.
Bottom support bar and the new one. It's slightly different but works fits perfect.
And the new one's.
I was pleasently surprised on the condition of the coolant, still looking good after 14 months but fairly low mileage that included a trip to the Fatherland.
