Hi,

glad you are happy, goes extremely well on the road,

You contacted James regarding tickover, if you blip the throttle when coming to rest, just a little blip, not red line it will be fine, its an "issm" running a large powerfull turbo on an airflow based ecu.

Syvecs and a decent intercooler and 450 + BHP on tap.

cheers
Kev

Nice results there, kev can I ask why swap the ecu out for a syvecs ecu. I was under the impression the stock ecu was up to the job on Newage cars?

Also side not how much to fit a perrin fmic?

Hi,

the Syvecs runs speed density rather the the O/E air flow meter based engine management, hence Syvecs is superior on all counts.

Didn’t quite understand the Perrin question but I assume its a price to fit, if so the inter-cooler kit is £1150.00 and fitting is £300.00, and what a kit it is.

Cheers
Kev

I know they don't come much better than the syvecs but you can also run SD on the OEM Ecu with most of the aftermarket features as well.

It does a bit, Is that peak torque of 360 lbft at 5.5k Rpm?

I realise it could behave different on the road though, Gaz.

It feels good on the road. A little laggier than I'd have hoped but not bad. I have no idea what this graph means, but here it is

It does seem slow to spool as my SC54 billet hits 1 bar at 4750rpm on my 2.1 but as long as your happy how it drives that all that matters.

Does look laggy but also possible the rpm doesnt match correctly.

Might be worth a dyno run somewhere else to check.

I've been thinking about a bigger turbo but don't want to affect the OEM spool so have held off buying one, To give you a comparison my VF36 peak torque is around 380lbft @ 3800rpm on a twinscroll spec-c, Keep looking at the SC42 TS but can't find any graphs for a standard bolt on upgrade with Top mount, airbox etc for a JDM Spec-C apart from immys but that was on a hatch.

WRX9181 - It is running 22psi of boost

JGM - What do you mean about the rpm not matching correctly?

I have a feeling that the turbo is being restricted slightly by the Turbo Inlet Pipe, I bought it from Eclipse Performance before I was aware of there workmanship, or lack of!

I've had to reinforce one or 2 of their hoses in the past, so I only fit Perrin inlet pipes now.
It does look a bit down on spool for an AVCS equipped car, are you sure the AVCS is working as a lack of it would explain that nicely ?

The wheel speed to rpm is set on the dyno, if its slightly out it will make it look more laggy
