Hi Daz,

your Graphs look pretty good to.

The 30 Billet is a belter, spool is amazing, as for the 33 Billet we have one sat on a 2.33 ready for testing but due to the snow we have not yet managed to get the car round to the dyno.

We also have some of the new Garratt Billets on the way for testing back to back, we expect bigger top end figures but spool may be sacrificed to achieve this, we will wait and see.

Cheers

I would upgrade the headers too Mark, heads will be fine if you aren't after every last ounce of power.
I used the Helix 6 puck paddle clutch for 18 months and much abuse.
I would also recommend an upgraded intake hose for your Mark getting rid of the stock plastic version and replacing it with an SFS silicone one. From memory your air filter looks a little restrictive too, so it may be worthwhile swapping that for something better.
Give me a call today and we will discuss it and beat the VAT increase.

Hi,

On site is a customers spec C, which is currently fitted with a Hydra ecu, its new owner already has a syvecs ecu taken from his previous car, opportunity for a back to back test.

We decided to firstly run the car on both low and high boost settings with the Hydra then swap it out for the Syvecs and go again, heres the low boost graph.

Red trace the hydra, blue trace the Syvecs running identical boost, heres the high boost traces.

Again red trace the hydra and blue trace the syvecs, note an increase of 50 BHP and 30 ftlbs of torque, this shows just how good the syvecs is.

Cheers

Kev,
I wonder who used to own that Spec C then!

I would suggest something has gone amiss since I owned it as I recorded over 500bhp on road fuel on numerous occasions an various RR's on the high boost setting. It even achieved 528bhp on Area52's Dyno Dynamics RR last October...... the map had not been changed since then for high boost.

Regardless.... power curves look great on the Syvecs and is another rr printout showing even on older turbo technology that Spec C delivers the goods for a standard fit AET GT30 core turbo!

Would be good to see a comparison with one of your Billet's Kev, on this engine set-up.

Hi Shaun,

the car has not been touched, simply filled up with fresh V power and ran on the dyno as it was, then we changed the ecu.

We will swap out the turbo for one of our billets later this week and see what happens.

cheers

Kev,
I was not suggesting you changed anything (in case anyone thinks that's what I meant). Does seem strange on the before figures though. Who cares... as long as the owner is happy.... which he should be!

I would be genuinely interested in the difference with a change of turbo..... the current AET (non Billet) matches your best (SC54?) on your Billet doesn't it? If your other Billet figures are anything to go by..... this set-up with one of your turbos may see another mega VPower high for a bolt on.

Hi Shaun,

I didnt think you were suggesting any changes had been made.

It really was a case of no customers due to snow and a car sat here waiting for an ecu swap, perfect opportunity for a bit of testing.

We will, later this week, do a back to back with the turbo, but to be fair its done well on the AET turbo as is, spools pretty good too.

cheers

No problem Kev..... I look forward to seeing the results on one of your Billets. Fingers crossed it does the business..... the owner will be over the moon regardless I suspect!

I loved that engine set-up.... it was / is a great car!!!!

Hi,

best put up the boost graphs before someone asks.

Seeing those graphs Shaun makes me realise just how quickly my Billet 35R is spooling.
I think it may be time to sell the 35R Billet and get a 30 billett. I'm sure I could achieve the same power but further improve spool. It will make an awesome sprint car thats for sure.

That turbo does not want to hold boost does it, Impressive though on relatively low boost. Roll on a billet

Hi,

I know the ecu test is not what this thread is about but it will end up with another turbo test.

Shaun has pointed out that the Spec "C" has switchable maps, we knew this and assumed the low octain map was for "V" power and the high octain map for "race gas" as highlighted below on the vehicles spec sheet.

The saying goes "assumption is the mother of all f**k ups"

Crack out the champers, the re-hydration worked, graphs to follow.

cheers
Kev
