Hi,
we haven't done an ej257 with a GT30 Billet as it would just split the liners.
A re linered 2.5 would take the punishment but it would come at a price with the risk of the liners settling.
Cheers

would a fully pinned ej257 take the gt30r? or is the liners still likely to spilt?

I'm potentially looking for a faster spooling turbo, though I've been away from Subaru for a couple of years. I'm posting the graph below as to me it doesn't feel as fast spooling as the mapped VF35 on my old 05 Sti. This could be because as said I've been away from them a while. When the turbo does get going it's fantastic all the way and pulls way harder than my old VF35 just I'm not sure on the spooling as it does feel a bit laggy
This is no reflection on the car or mapper as both are brilliant
The car in question is 02 Sti with
Andy Forest TD06-20g turbo
850cc injectors
Walbro fuel pump
Full decat 3" exhaust system
K&N induction system
FMIC
This car is primarily a track car so opinions please guys

Std 2.0L still in it?
If you're happy with your 380+, then what about the SC38 billet?!
Or even the latest-to-the-range SC36 billet - that spools mental (like somewhere between a TD04L and a VF28!!!, if the graph is anything to go by). Plus one made 381!!! on a 2.0L (but can't remember if there was a splash of meth helping it along). But expect to make up to 360 on V-P otherwise.

Both of these cars are fitted with the SC42 and the owners love them.

Hi,
lots going on in the world of scooby track, sprint and rallying.
Old stig, Vaughan has not got just one, but two bags of Wurthers Originals and is loaded up for Cadwell Sunday.
Danny P is ready for Donnington next Sunday.
Help for heroes scoobyclinc rally car is over on the Isle of man ready for the MSA tarmac challenge which begins tomorrow afternoon.
We wish them all the very best of british luck, (BOBL) for short.
All cars running our Billet turbochargers.
cheers

I just spent last night and this morning going through the last 70 pages of this thread which equates to about 1 year in time. So most info and developments are fresh in my mind.
Are there any earlish twinscroll cars that have been mapped with the SC42 or 46, many have asked for evidence of performance over the 10 months or so. The SC42 billet has been targeted at me as a customer i.e 2003 Spec C with vf36 running 350 on 97ron, all standard apart from sports cat exhaust, panel filter a 3 port solenoid. Turbo now on its limits so looking to upgrade without having to worry about engine internals.
Is there any advice, feedback or experience to a similar situation? Will the Spec C pistons, rods and crank take more than the standard 2003 car?
How limited would i be by my air box and v.8 tmic. I want to keep the engine as OEM as possible, i.e no FMIC or induction kit if possible. Possibly even keep the 550cc injectors for now.
Thanks
Andrew

Hi,
just a quick update, we can now offer zirctec heat resistant coatings to the SC billet range of turbos, these coatings don't flake off and come in a variety of different colours, we choose metallic black as our SCR brand colour as in this picture.
We can also coat any exhaust component such as headers, up pipes etc.
cheers

its a dark grey, almost black metallic, the cameras flash has made it look lighter, there are plenty of colour choices which I will post up as soon as I have them.

Couple of billet turbo results from this weekends rwyb comp at the pod. Andy Forrest set a new pb on the Saturday of 8.4 and won the 6 cylinder class and then went on to the Sunday to win overall !
Here's his warm up of 8.5 on Sunday morning and the final.
http://youtu.be/USQ7TRp8sIY
http://youtu.be/ai1xTB3hRBc
I won the four cylinder class on the Sunday too
I ran 1 9.76 then 3 x 9.74's.
Was getting way too much wheelspin in 1st so when Paul Blamire of Zen popped to see the action in the afternoon he uploaded the new Syvecs firmware with the new launch control strategy. This improved things but my next run was an actual race and I did not get time to engage LC properly when I staged as I had to go ! Next run I broke a front shaft as is hooked up amazingly well. So we will have to test another time.
Couple of vids, second one I missed 5th so would have been much quicker -

Hi Clive,
well done and thanks for posting up the results.
Andys machine is going to take some catching.
Vaughan fletcher's billet powered car was out at Cadwell this weekend too, he qualified 2nd on the grid then the car wouldn't start for the actual race and ended up missing race one, after a phone call regarding a blown fuse we advised him to check the wiring loom near the headers, and there was the fault, a crack in the headers had blow torched the loom, some careful taping and a blob of wedls and Vaughan joined race 2 but had to start at the back.
Vaughan quickly picked his way through the pack when a red flag was shown and the race had to start again, so for a 2nd time Vaughan had to start at the back and pick his way through the pack, race was also shortened by 5 mins making the task even harder.
End result Vaughan finished 2nd, a master-class in how to drive the cadwell circuit.
Our "help for Heroes" rally car also had a great weekend, 3rd rally and the 3rd finish, coming 6th in class and 26th out of 96 cars, not bad considering the handbrake failed leaving Chris, the pilot, to do 3 point turns on some hairpins rather than just sliding the car round.
Great weekend for Subaru motorsport and well done to every one.
cheers
