scoobyclinics turbo's just got billet I mean better!
Just fitted my SC46 and it is a stunning pice of kit!
Fits like a glove!
LOT more responsive then my old Blouch dom III.
Just got to get a new proper tune for it.
Let's see what 2 bar and E85 can do!
Will post my graph later.
So far really happy with it!

all our original twin scrolls used the standard P25 housing machined to suit, I think they are around .63 A/R.
The housing was not big enough and the exchange issue was a bit messy so a new housing was cast, its slightly larger than the P25, not sure exactly by how much but it has allowed us to machine it big enough to create the new SC50 Billet twin scroll.

The range of SC Billet twin scrolls are a true twin scroll with twin volutes and twin waste-gate buttons, just need something to bolt them onto .

cheers
Kev
the hot side wont be that big, it had to be cast slightly bigger so we can use the one housing on all the Twin scroll Billets, just machine to suit.
With the quest for more power we needed something big enough to machine out for a 500 + BHP Billet wheel.

We are testing the baby of the Twin scroll bunch later this week, the SC36 Billet twin scroll, keep you posted.

Cheers
Kev

I was just speaking hy...pathetically
i.e. if it just happened to be @ 0.73, then would it affect spool-up for the worst?
Hi,iam thinking of strokeing my1996 classic sti with a 2.1 kit, what turbo would you sugest, and supporting mods for say 380bhp to 400bhp,ive got the brembo's and the 6 speed already, just need a shopping list?
Thanks,
Pete.
Thanks,
Pete.
the SC42 billet would do the job nicely, in stock at £1250.00 + vat.
Cheers

no, the twin scrolls will be more expensive due to the custom Twin scroll housing, I reckon they will be approx £250.00 more than their single scroll brothers.
Cheers
Kev
looks nice.

Which one is this ?

cheers
Kev
Well, the SC40 has 'old technology' sleeve bearing, instead of rollers, so that lends itself to do so, for sure. Also, being based on a TD05H 20g assembly, then they're also considered tough units, so you do have everything possible 'in your favour'.
I was thinking of doing the same on my own 20g... But probably won't, as I want to extend he tubby's life. Just means I'll have to put up with 'being mocked'
for my 'chavvy'
VTA DV's noise......

It should be 'safe'...
...BUT... comes with the proviso that you most probably will reduce the turbo's life expectancy, due to the unavoidable introduced stress against the compressor blades and, by extention, the CHRA shaft's sleeve bearing.
There are plenty of people on here running DVless.... But then that's no comfort to you, as it's not your turbo.
If in doubt, then I wouldn't do it -- your call...

From: Trying to pull a 10 second 1/4 mile running a standard 2.0ltr engine...
If you dont want the chav sound and are worried about the stress of running dv delete on your current turbo, just put the standard recirc valve back on,they run better with them on anyhow matey.
Hi,
just tested the all new SC36 Billet twin scroll and WOW !
What a spooler, data logging on the road shows 1bar at 2665 RPM and its on full tilt by 3000 RPM,

Boost and afr.

This engine is a standard spec "C" lump in a classic GC8, running on an STI top mount, engine management is Syvecs, the car was already on an early SC42 billet twin scroll and a 20% meth mix, so the above graphs are also on a 20% meth mix, methanol usually adds around 10% BHP.
The above turbo is the all new SC36 (B) Billet twin scroll, its one of two new SC36 T/S units we are trying, this one has a bigger turbine wheel as used in our SC42 strapped to a 36 Billet comp wheel, wonder what the smaller turbine version will spool like.
cheers

So on V-P only the new SC36 B/TS should easily do on or about the 360bhp then! (403 / 1.1 = 366)
And all that with stunning TD04L-like spool-up!
As you say, the version with the smaller turbine wheel will surely spool exactly like a TD04L i.e. maybe full boost by circa 2.5k!?!?!

Hi,
that's what we are hoping.
On the road its on the money all the time, stunning spool and power all the way through, its achieved the same power as the early SC46 twin scroll but with far better spool, its a winner.

Thanks for every ones interest in this thread and there is much more to come.

Cheers
