But no-one is making the pods just yet (most are homebrew ones).
I don't like all the other aftermarket options (on top of the clock pod, top of the dash pod, steering column pods, replacing the middle air vents option) and having a double din DVD unit, like you, I don't want to replace it with a single din unit and fit the single din 3 gauge units they do (DEFI etc.)
So far the best compromise I have found is the HKS CAMP 2 setup for DVD displays (not cheap though)...not essential so only a wish list for me

HKS USA HKS CAMP2 Real-Time Engine Monitoring
Many thanks Dave ! I understood the bits that were in English, but got lost in the technospeak.
Do you know if data for air intake temp, oil temp, oil pressure, boost can be taken from ecu or do you have to buy the sensors at extra cost ?

The vent gauges from Revolution would cost a min £200 + £160 for the pre drilled replacement vent plate to fit them in - so not much less than the HKS dvd display
Cheers
Stan

So I was getting hacked off at the fan / heating controls / AC being either freezing cold or too hot,

spotted this on IWSTI, post #9

This is what they call *auto* climate control?! - IWSTI.com: Subaru WRX STI Forums

Tried it tonight.......at last it works properly press the AC button for two seconds till it flashes & hey presto 17degC is only marginally warmer than 16degC, rather than before

Was starting to think Subaru can't design anything right
Can't say I've ever had a problem with the AC to go looking for that. Mine is currently set to 22 degs and has been all winter, during the summer it was 18 degs.

Hello I'm BJM over on the sidc website. Much bigger following of the hatches over here so thought I'd ask you guys:

where's the best place to get a front splitter? I'm after an oem look but refuse to pay full dealer price for it.

What bulbs should I be buying for the side lights to 'match better' with the headlights?

Thanks in advance

EDIT - is a 08 sti

Oil Pressure,Oil Temp & Boost are all seperate sensors and you need an oil filter sandwich plate adapter etc. and then the HKS IF meter interface unit to plug them into. This then plugs into the CAMP 2 main control box.

I worked it out as costing around $1000 in the US and costing around £720 by the time you get all the stuff you need over here (i.e. with the import tax, but without fitting costs). Haven't seen a UK supplier yet, but I haven't really looked into it.

Given the CAMP2 unit plugs into the OBDII port would be interesting to know if you can read/re-set fault codes as well for that money!

For bulbs call Revolution mate, the owner has a hatch STI and they know there stuff...

Revolution Performance Motorstore

For the front splitter there are a few options around, but the OEM one looks the best IMO. Suggest you get a price from a main dealer, then ring Ian at Litchfields and see what price he can do it for you...

Litchfield

£720 !!!! ouch ! Thats a noticeable hole in the wallet. So thats a sit tight and wait then !

Incidentally I hear that Ecutek are releasing software in March to tuners to allow mapping on the S and S# settings

I/C water-spray! never understood why that was dropped on the hatch?

Its been on all other STI's for years. Now its back?

Also see the red stitching is back on the steering wheel

The seats look similar to my Recaro's which are not heated.

I like the rear under spoiler

Actually spotted the IC kit on Japanparts today listed as Spec C, so perhaps it made a return for that model only, will try to find and post a link.

Hmmm, well that was easy to find, front page as a new release, so who is going to be the first to retro fit, price does not seem to bad and includes all you need!

I couldnt ever tell if it made a difference when i used it on my 2 hawkeye STI's

they reckon that the massive intake and i/c on the sti hatch didnt require the i/c spray (so why fit it on the spec c & R205?
