Sorry to hear about the FSTI, I bet you both can't wait to get her back.

You will have to take me out in the RS one day...on second thoughts better not do that or I might want to sell the STI

Looking forward to seeing you at the Goodwood Festival of Speed this year mate, wil PM/e-mail you.

All the best and hope you have a great Christmas, Dave

What works best??? ( avoiding full coil over / adjustable rear links and adjustable top mounts etc. ).

Any suggestions welcome!
Bigger rear anti-roll bar (and the brace kit that comes with it), rear subframe bush kit, power steering pump mod, anti-lift kit and a decent alignment (none of which should effect your warranty)....speak to Ian at Litchfields, he knows his stuff and is very good with prices

Decent coilovers further improve things, but the above changes make a huge difference for a realtively small amount of money

p.s. oversteer was my problem with the hatch rather than understeer, but I know what you mean mate

Odd, So many people stiffening up the rear end with the bush / positive traction kits and larger / braced A/R bar ... why if not to induce oversteer or dial out understeer?
Stiffening the roll resistance or spring rates decreases the absolute grip at that end of the car so alter the balance of grip towardzs the other.

Worked like that on my classic. Think it's all explained on here in one of the Prodrive expert threads.

I don't play much with the settings ( DCCD in auto +, s#, traction control all on etc. ) unless in odd conditions, so maybe too much DCCD lock forced front end wide..?

Was probably a greasy corner and I entered a bit too fast, but still wanna dial out the "percieved" understeer.

Going to visit suspension / race chassis engineers as they reckon it can be all down to settings, this 330S was dealer 4 wheel aligned so likely basic / std settings.

Failing that Lichfield / Powerstation visit likely!

Cheers guys

Just had the Litchfield handling pack fitted to ours last week, car feels so much better, steerning now feels like it's connected to the road, feels a lot more taught & responsive, well worth it in my opinion

Agree with Simon, they are next to useless in fog (as I found out the other day). How did you get to the rears of the fog lights to change the bulbs mate, haven't had a proper look yet, hoping it's an easy job...

AUTO+ is your first mistake mate AUTO- all day
Ssharp and no TC on ie orange light on dash
Auto + will produce more understeer.
Try what I have suggested and see how you get on

The Americans love oversized rims with 255 tyres (sticking out past the arches) for that 'agressive' look as they call it...need to roll the arches to get them to fit...same effect here...looks good

http://www.aggressivefitment.com/use...L-SCHLEGS4.jpg

p.s. they are Advan RS/RZ wheels, cost over £400 each

pic of the blue scoob looks like a photoshop, or if its a genuine pic then the colour balances must have been altered, just dont look natural.

i have been looking at wider wheels (18x8.5 et35) to get a much wider stance look with the wider tyres and filling the arches properly, its just the cost of the volks racing wheels at £600 a corner putting me off!!!

Default PPP impressions

Having taken the STI to my (not so local) dealer where they lent me a DIESEL Legacy for the day (nice heated seats and the aircon controls are much better than on the STi) I was quite relieved to get back into the STi.

£1800 for a 10K service and the fitting of a PPP appears to be money well spent. The power delivery is a lot smoother and the extra poke is certainly noticable. Managed to spin all 4 wheel on the exit of a roundabout which (ahem) woke me up!

Only down side is I need to upgrade the brakes - the stock pads are 85% worn after 10K miles (including 1 track day and a trip to the Ring).

Am thinking hoses, pads and dot 5.1 to start with and then look around for a bigger kit next year?

What have you guys gone for?

Cheers

Alcon F+R (from Iain Litchfield) work well. Be warned they do not fit under several rims eg BBS
Had AP 6 pots on the last scoob - they too worked well !
Suppose it depends which are on best £ offer !!

Im saving up for the PPP , ive got prices from a few dealers and they have been slightly different from the Pro Drive web site . If you dont mind what did your dealer charge you ? Dont know if the present economic climate has created any discounts ?
Thanks,
John
