No it always defaults to s.. but on a cold start I drive a couple of miles then switch to s#... not to cane it mind you... but the throttle response feels so much better in #.
Hit the boost cut this am... oops... 3 mile uphill dual-carriage way.... WOT in 6th and all hell let lose at ah-hem mph..... CEL and all sorts of fairy lights on the dash... even went into i-mode for the remainder of the journey...
Dunc had set boost cut at 1.45 for safety ... obviously it just spiked over because it never got anywhere close before (usually 1.3 max)...warmer temp and continual WOT loading I assume..anyway, re-set the ecu now and all 100% again...

Worked out if you then dip the clutch and keep it dipped, and turn the ignition off, and restart the car 4 times, it clears the limp mode and all is ok again.

thanks scooby L.....
sparkey you can put some 255 without rubbing issue w/ a +48 offset......you wouldnt have to roll your fenders or any mods to make them fit.....but if you really wanted to you can put on some 265 with the rear fender roll and your car be like glue on the road.....

Boredom whilst free-wheeling at decent speed
Boost creep is where the waste gate can not cope with the gas flow and consequently it can not dump sufficient gas flow from the engine, the resultant gas flow goes keeps spinning the turbo more, until boost creeps beyond the safety threshold set, end result is boost cut.
Porting wastegate is a solution i believe, although i cant be bothered.

Not that simple for us with the push button start... locks and unlocks the steering each push... plus it takes an age to re-initialize after each shutdown....
Not sure mine was boost creep then?.... still running the standard turbo etc....even though Duncan said the art with the 2.5 is "reining back" the boost... anyway... if it does it again I'll let Dunc know.
Plus I'm having the boost gauge wired in tomorrow so I'll be able to see what's happening (alarm set at 1.5bar)

Sparkey - very nice wheels indeed. I did initially consider these but was put off by being et48 (I was after et35) but they look great.
I have 245/40/18's et38 fitted and have no rubbing issues - I reckon the max you can go without resorting to some sort of arch modification is 8.5 et35.

Looks great Sparkey, the Rota Force/Advan RZ/Prodrive GC10 are my favourite style of wheel for the hatch STI at the moment
For those who prefer the aggressive look Rota should be bringing out some new size wheels soon
I spent a day down at Rare Rims HQ last month so they could work out what does and doesn't fit the hatch STI (with and without rolling the arches)
Rota are currently making up a new 'aggressive fitment' Drift Force wheel for the hatch STI. As soon as they arrive in the UK I will post up some details and pics of them on the car

Yeah, thought that's what they were.
Who supplied the tyres? I've been looking for a set for ages and everybody seems to be out of stock and can't get anymore - even Goodyear told me that that size has been discontinued!
Thanks again,
Neil

If you don't mind me asking, what did you pay for them? PM me if you'd rather not say on here.
Thanks again,

Could the dealer be correct?
Options I think I will go far:
Short shift if applicable
Prodrive springs
Front lip spoiler
STI floor matts
and dealer advised me to go for after market mudflaps, so probably Rally Armor.
Cannot wait
