What do the diff inserts do hedgecutter? I am looking to do my front and rear ARBs with whiteline goodies soon.

They give a more positive traction, as the inserts prevent movement and flex.

Default 330s wheels on coilovers

Anyone any pics for reference of how they fill the arches ?
originally I liked the wheels but wished they were wider. But since storing them in the garage and buying new Rotas/spacers and coilovers I'm wondering will lower suspension improve the look of OEM wheel fitment ?

Car finally back from Thwaites, along with the forged rebuild they fitted a new Exedy clutch, cobra decat downpipe, sleeved up-pipe and rcm fuel pump. Now I just have to put 1000 of the most painful off-boost miles before I go back for the remap! Dealing with TDR has been a great experience, they have put up with numerous phone calls from me along with me turning up on the day of the engine build to take photos. Mark had all the time in the world to answer my questions and chat about the build.

Nice pics. Nice having someone you trust doing your engine work. Mark did mine on a forester STi, along with a re-map. Perfect since (20K miles)

Also good to have pics of the inside of your engine

im running 330s wheels on bc coils , looking to get some japan racing wheels or maybe some Xxrs in the near future ,, they fill the arch well think they could maybe do with a 15mm spacer tho 🤔

When we fitted them we did all the measurements the same as my mates blob so the arch to the wheel centre is exactly the same and I’m still getting away with the original profile tyres ,

due to the back if the wheel being flat , a 25mm spacer is the smallest possible to allow for OEM studs. I've a feeling 25mm will make them too wide.

mot law is still the same as it was 10 years ago ,, I’ve been running full de cat for 3 years never had an issue , you need to de cat for any further performance , and I’m my opinion sports cats ain’t worth the money ,, if needed you could make a cat pipe to swap into your cat back at mot time if you really need too

hmmm I recon a 25 you would get away with it , but a 35 profile tyre would be needed , and maybe a bit of extra front camber ,, all depends how low you want to go really

it'll be loud as heck. I had a blowout on the flange for the back box (really rusty and crumbling). I took the box off to put a new gasket and bolts on. Couldn't resist seeing how it sounded without it. I see if I've a video.

I'd wonder if there was some way of fitting a muffler somewhere up nearer the engine , or if that isn't a good place for a muffler flow wise.

it was just raw noise. Muffled down a bit would help but not sure how it would fit.

I saw your car on the ramp 10 days ago, you must be very excited now it's all been done well by someone we trust!

I am looking forward to having mine serviced by TDR soon.

hi guys.just bought myself an 09 hatch, having had a cupra r still getting used to it, espsecially the opening of all doors🤔 and why no fold up key...minor details.
been remapped by alan jeffrey to 372 , i feel it misses a bit on idle, is this common or possible plugs? lots of questions to follow once i get my head around it...thanks in advance

if you figure out opening all the doors let me know! I have resorted to just pressing the unlock button on the drivers door card every time. Occasionally I can get them to open on a double press of the key fob but have never been able to unlock the tailgate with this method!

My jdm has just started idling a little lumpy; opinions on causes welcomed. Cleaned maf, throttle body next, but had read that the power steering pump can cause this when it's on the way out?

If the ECU has been reset recently it can take time to learn. Mine was similar after replacing lambda sensor, but starting the car and not touching the accelerator for a good 15 minutes sorted it out. Been spot on ever since. Maybe unrelated though...

Needs a good wash as it's been stood a year, and most recently in the garage for the last few months where it's been developed into what it is today..
