Saying "get what you pay for" is a little outlandish dont you think? I have had numerous sets of the fitting style in several different vehicles of my own, even fitted them to friends vehicles perfectly every time.

I'll be saving £70 on these toward some decent stuff from US/Japan instead I think!

They just slide up into the channel and two clips hold them. No it dosnt scratch the glass because it only makes contact on the top edge. The actual face of the glass does not come into contact with it at all. I will take some tomorrow if I get a chance.

great thanks.
if you ever wanted them out could you get the clips out?

for £30 its worth a try, as IMO they look sleeker than the Subaru OE ones, not bulging out so much.

Not really. Do a search & come up with your own conclusions, due to the cost of replacing window motors & regulators when they go wrong all because you stuck an extra spring in a channel that was only ever meant for the glass to seal in. Could be very costly. If subaru thought this was a great idea they would have devolved there own kit in the same way don't you think ??

Just my own opinion. I know how much these things cost to repair at the end of the day, granted you may save £70 but 6-12 months down the line you could encounter issues which cost upwards of £500 to fix.

I wish you all the best with these.

Previous cars were Ford, Climair are the approved brand with the same fitment style. Cant see it being an issue if fitted correctly.

Hi Neil, quick question regarding the LED reflectors, where/how do you run the wires into the back of the lights to be able to tap the existing wires?

Cheers,
Steve

Just starting to get round to installing mine today, I've extended the wires for the NS Lamp and run/secured them along the rear of the bumper support bracket. Joined them up and will insert a grommet on the osr near the fresh air vent and enter the cabin.

Steve, there are 2 plastic grommets/caps, 1 either side of the car, that you can drill a hole through to feed the wiring into the car (pop them out before drilling and then re-install). If you look at the rear panel from inside the car with the boot floor lifted you should be able to see them. I drilled mine slightly oversize and then put a tight fitting rubber grommet over the wiring and then put that grommet into the drilled hole in the bigger grommet - keeps everything water tight.

Are you planning on using them as fogs or additional brake and tail? Grommet action as above applies either way as you need to get the wiring into the car.

If you're going for brake and tail, you simply need to locate the oem wiring going to each rear light cluster and then tap into the appropriate wires.

For use as fogs, it gets more complicated. You need to locate the connector from the main loom to the tailgate loom and tap into the wiring at that point - this connector is located behind the offside inner upper rear quarter panel trim. If you want to use the oem fog as a second reverse light you also need to reconfigure the wiring to allow for that.

There's now been a few people asking how to do it so I suppose I should really get the finger out and do a photographic walkthrough. If you can hold off for a couple of days I'll get it done.

Cheers, Neil

Thanks Neil, much appreciated. I'm going to go for the 2 reverse lights and use the reflectors as fogs. I can wait a few weeks as I'll need to find some grommets and pluck up the courage to fit it all...so a photo walk through would be great :-)
Did you use blanking grommets and cut a hole in them or did you find grommets with small enough holes to be water tight?

Thanks again, Steve

Default Zunsport

Just in case anyone is currently looking for ZunSport grills, I've found they're selling them directly on their site around £30 cheaper than Pro-R, the lower front in black is only £75 http://www.zunsport.co.uk

Hi all,
I'm having an issue with a knocking noise coming from the front of my WRXS , when driving over ruff Tarmac it can be heard and can also be felt through the pedals as well as the whole car rattleing. The car feels like something is loose my best way to describe it is in comparison to my wife's Beemer in when you hit a bump in the road you get a solid thud were as I'm mine the car shakes or kind rattles, if that's the best phrase. When I bought the car I had it checked out by my local specialist who said everything was fine apart from very slight play in one of the front ARB bushes! The car has since been fitted with Tein springs and a whiteline ALK. Has anyone else had these kind of issues ? Plus does this sound like an ARB mount issue?
Any info or ideas will be gratefully received.

Cheers
Jim
