The 11 plate fiesta zetec s I bought Gemma is an ex ford direct car so I get 5 years on that too .
Unless they make it 4wd then its a no from me too as front wheel drive I may aswell **** against the wind in the winter lol

well technically its 12 months manufacturer's base warranty and a further 24 months after the initial 12 month period is Ford Protect mechanical breakdown only.

someone on Sn who went Rs from STi, said the car stayed at home when it snowed lol

my sister got RS & never moved in the snow we had last yr or so just stood spinning couldnt get out of back lane
must admit only being front wheel drive was 1 of main reasons i didnt get one , i do like them if only had been 4wd

I remember a few years back when the RS was just released, we visited a small independent Ford dealer when looking for a new car for the Mrs. The owner of the garage had one of the first RSs, and noticed my STi so we got chatting. He said the car did torque steer despite all the reports saying it didn't. He also said he could keep up with me in the dry, but in the wet he wouldn't know where I went.
His words, not mine.
Reckoned he get 5k -6k miles from front tyres.
As for warranty, only 1yr for things like alloy wheel corrosion. Crap that is.

see you have the h&s exhaust how do you rate it for sound level?
Ben thinking ether one of h&s exhaust or a cobra exhaust have the prodrive back box withe the cilencer removed but looking for something to give be the scooby runbel!! What do you recommend

)It has a nice growl which is focused behind in the boot area so not that intrusive.
There must be a few on here who have heard it from the outside. Although I've been told the burble is back

sorry i havnt got back about engine yet really in two minds to put it in another car i have as for exhaust i have cobra full decat system with unequal headers and the car sounds awesome! i get alot of people come up and say so also lol
I've just bought a set of genuine STI Lug nuts, I have the 330s wheels and these nuts look pretty small in comparison to the old ones and they stick out a fair bit more. Is this normal or have I bought the wrong nuts?

Exactly, they are "STi branded" McGard Tuner Splined lug nuts designed to fit aftermarket alloys, where the original Subaru OEM nuts are too fat for a socket to fit in the recess.
I wouldn't leave home without them
Currently run the McGard "Black Chrome" version........................

On another note; I had the car remapped by Duncan yesterday, its easy to see why he has such a good reputation on here, genuinely nice guy who knows what he's doing.
Car now feels smoother and I can definitely feel the "kick" from the additional power / torque.

Sounds good what power did you mack with what mods
No idea of power as it was a road map as opposed to a rolling road. I think Duncan mentioned they usually achieve a safe 330 - 340 bhp and a bigger torque gain.
The only mod is the removal of the exhaust back box. I also ordered a Pro R air filter but hasnt arrive yet
The primary reason for getting it done was for peace of mind as I wanted to get off the standard Subaru Map.

RS went in today for MOT so i had the major service done at the same time.
i told them that the clutch was sticking (a well know problem) and a rattle from the drivers window.
they call me later and tell me they are fitting new pedal box / clutch system and window regulator, all under warranty!!!
no quabbles, no excuses, and they also discounted me £150 on the service.
RS does struggle for grip but thats about it, I love it and so glad I have fu**ed subaru off

Whilst I agree they are good, generally I had a better experience dealing with Subaru dealers. I've been lucky to find a good ford one quite near me so am happy but there are crap ones too.
