Works out about £530 inc shipping & import fees (slightly cheaper than a Cosworth one

Easy mate, two torqs screws eitherside of the wheel and remove the horn, Just pull the center clip on the yellow clip on the airbag wire and remove and just unplug the control wires & undo the nut in the center and gently pull up on the steering wheel and it will come off.Originally Posted by rb5 286

Car looks great
Was up there in 2005 on the long track that goes for miles through the forest.
Beautiful area, but can still hear the stones bouncing off the paintwork

After spending a while sorting out a template and getting it onto the computer so I can cut it out of vinyl I started this last night before wife's dad turned up out of the blue and stopped me!!!
Peeled off from vinyl roll

lined up cut outs onto dash


then laid rest on in place for moment

this stuff is amazing a little rubbing with finger in a warm cabin and the vinyl falls into place

now onto the curvey dash section (this was so easy with this vinyl - it has tiny tiny air channel - smallest i've ever seen)

you need to wait for the update as I went out last night to trim up but was too cold to manipulate the vinyl round the side of the dash and innto the vent (still to be done)

I've got that pump fitted and Bob Rawle mapping it on Tuesday so I'll let you know, don't expect 400bhp on the standard turbo, unless you use meths.Originally Posted by nullfork

The pump is noisy on start up and the guy that fitted it said I'd have been better off to leave the stock pump as a lift pump and fit a swirl pot with bigger external pump instead, to late at that point.

it then took 3days in Customs and a further 4days to get from Coventry to my local depot. 
Took all of 20mins to fit

How did the mapping go? Don't want to stress you out - but I've been speaking to Bob and he suggested I stay away from the Walbro as he's had numerous problems with them apparently (I've asked for more info as I thought the Walbro kit was good stuff!).Originally Posted by Paul666

BTW I'm not on the standard turbo, I'm on an SC46 - been told the injectors should do ~420bhp possibly.
I'd think a Bosch 044 pump and swirl pot would cost IRO £250.

Don - that wheel looks fantastic.

If it was cheaper I'd be very tempted
Nullfork, 2nd pump and swirl pot is a lot more aggro to fit but will see you well sorted for "future improvements"

The mapping went well 370+ bhp & 410+ ft/lbs, just what I was looking for.
The turbo (standard) was giving all it could be the injectors had room but I'm not sure they'll hit 420 bhp without methanol. It could be because I've got a bigger capacity pump but Bob didn't say I had an issue with % duty. Vulnax will be able to tell you more as he changed his for 800cc as the standard ones were at about 90% duty with sub 400 bhp.
Bob recommended the next step as 800's and a SC46, saying that the 46 would spool well and push 450 without problem.

I was looking at that sterering wheel but just couldn't justify £500 for a wheel. It does look great tho!

I'm looking for ~400hp on my setup at present (SC46, OE TMIC, OE injectors, forged bottom end), if I decide to go for more, I'll do the injectors first (probably 650cc) and remap, then next stage would be FMIC / remap and ~460hp. I'm on a running-in map at the moment, and it's driving VERY nicely even on that!
I'm going to do the swirl pot for my fuelling as I've already got a Bosch 044 and swirl pot at home from a rebuild I'm doing on my P1. I've got another 1000 miles to go yet before Bob is happy to do the "full fat" remap so that's enough time to get it plumbed in hopefully!

My mods are:
Mahle pistons, Manly rods, ARP headstuds, ACL race bearings, Cosworth head gasket, sump baffle & cam belt, Exedy clutch, 255ltr fuel pump, Perrin 3-port, AEM induction and a Cobra 3" sports cat & system.

Well, Scoobyclinic told me they "couldn't get the SC46 to run low enough to not eat the pistons in a hatch!" which is a funny statement as the ecu map could limit boost to 1 bar ish ( although it's the air supplied not the pressure that counts ... ) but I gather it is so efficient low down hence the great spool that it still pumps too much air even at low boost pressures for our chocolate piston hatches!
I still want a billet SC46 tho' .. have to wait for forge build time!
Nullfork - the std hatch injectors are 605cc, so 650's not worth the bother; a set of ECUTek injectors are good ( check around for prices ex mappers, they don't really sell to us lot! Mine were £350 but ecutek website say £450! )) but DO need scaling and mapping for! And not the easiest fitting! Manifold off or remove oil feed to AVCS to allow injector cover to be removed on n/s.
The Walbro 255 l/hr fuel pump was OK on classics, no idea if any issues on hatches, but it does do higher fuel pressure ( that's why we were suggested to go for aftermarket fuel pressure regs with the pump on the classics ) so Paul666 may get away with lower duties as the injectors put in more fuel per open pulse due to the improved higher fuel pressure.
My first mapped 370 bhp / 398 lbft on just sports cat and AEM CAIK gave around 93% injector duties, hence I have done the 800cc / min injector mod now as I went 16% meths and that needs more fueling capacity, as well as full 3" exhaust. So looks like std fuel pump on mild mods nearly runs out of injector headroom after 370 bhp.
I'd suggest get the 800 cc/min or bigger injectors and with that SC46 you should be an easy 450+ bhp ... +meths around 500 .. and loads of torque. With a Perrin Stealth FMIC extremely good 460+ reliable car on vpower!
I will go 044 and swirl pot in front when I go SC46.
As Paul said, the turbo runs out of puff by around 380 bhp ... my engine breathes well and turbo lets it down now!!
