yes mate, its ready now for the 23rd and 24th, we tried race fuel but the turbo would not give enough gains to warrant using it so the map i will be using is the 450hp and 596nm torque @ 1.75 bar peak and holding 1.55 bar, the torque is very good as it does over 590nm for 2000 rpm, engine is a 2 litre avcs, there was not much loss through transmission also, 400 at wheels. so i am made up with the way it goes and the amazing job edmy has done ,just need to get some seat time now, its all down to me now
Then went about wiring up the air temp sensor to the old standard sensor wiring, now the FC commander will show air inlet temps. Also handy to have if I upgrade ECU in the future
Also been refurbing a set of wheels I picked up a couple of weeks ago, going for a light bronze colour
Yeah, we are pushing it now though. Good few things to do and it still hasn't turned over yet! Hopefully get it started next weekend now. Then need to pick my brakes up from Paul at Zen and then hopefully he will be able to fit us in for mapping and sort the geometry before the end of the month.
get yourself booked on the trackday at oulton on 23rd april, there is loads of my mates going clive you will be made very welcome pal
Would love to Andy and thanks for the invite, but my time over the next month is real tight. Only a couple of decent weekends now on the Type R as I want to get the Blue car on the strip on Saeurday 17th, looks like I will be heading off to Shakespeare Raceway for that one. And I can't get much more time out of work as I have only just got back off hols
Big day on the Type R today, started nice and early to try and get as much done as possible.
Started with the ALK
Had a visit from Mr Hoops for an hour so he fitted strut brace and then helped me bleed the clutch
Then I went about tidying wiring, fitting boost solenoid (anyone know which way round com and on are for the compressor side and actuator, I have forgotten) etc.
DV and final intercooler pipe on
Inlet side all finished
Then Paul popped round to drop something off so I asked him if he fancied turning it over !
I did both mate, i used my i/c spray bottle in the boot for my washers and chucked the bat in there as well. Cost me about 50 quid in parts, so not too bad
Cheers. So if I fit a Denso air temp, I'll be able to make it work with the PFC? Do you know where I can get one and what pinouts of the ECU it wires to?

Clive, on one pic I see you're got the AVCR MAP sensor inlet on the horizontal, I always thought it should be pointing down? Not sure what difference it makes, mind.
