Can the OP answer my question in post # 9, or not?

Greig, I know you never mentioned in your thread that you were selling the full kit but surely there are TWO very important bits missing!!! - see below...

...The long electrical cable in the above middle pic with the 2 plugs - 1 black; one white - at either end. Surely the white connector is the bit that goes into the PFC socket. And to the right in the above last pic is surely a bit that I need too? . Please explain why I only have the main 2-port bit and why you haven't sent me those other two bits? Surely the main bit on its own is useless without those other bits? See below...

If you can't forward me those two critical parts of the kit, then I demand a refund my friend. The piece I have is obviously useless to me on its own!!!

Please explain...

you are right its totally useless without the map sensor and com link cable to the ecu. Sounds like all you got is the solenoid........

If you paid with paypal, you can reverse the payment and make a complaint which will put the money in limbo for a while till issue resolved either way.

Question

Many thanks fytgbug . I'm awaiting to see if the chap will get back to explain - he has been offline for a while after all , so fair enough.

Yes, just the boost solenoid was sent!

Can you tell me what tabs to press in PayPal's site map to navigate to this 'reverse payment' facility (never done it before)?

Many thanks, John.

...Hmmmn. I can't open a dispute on this item as it wasn't sent marked as 'goods' or 'services'. The seller asked me to send as a 'gift', which I thought would be to try to get round PP fees... but, obviously, now I'm very suspicious of his motives

Thanks for replying to my PM.

If you look at the pic above with the hand holding the blue vacuum hose, then the TWO bits I'm after are...

1) The uprated MAP sensor...
This is the black cube like thing with the mounting lugs on either side (the bit that the blue hose goes into).

2) The Com Link cable...
This is the long cable with the 3 red, green & black wires covered in the black plastic insulation. As can be seen, the large black connector goes to the top of the MAP sensor, and the small white connector goes to the actual PFC itself!

Without these two bits the boost control will not function - they're an integral part of the bespoke electronics that, together with the boost solenoid you've already sent me, make up the whole boost control kit.

Yeah, sorry - I freaked out a bit. Damn and curses to my highly strung nature! [On Friday I had just spent £660 at Zen getting my car through its MOT, so have been a bit wound up ]

Apologies, I bet you were no doubt taken aback upon seeing my added posts?

Thanks for the reply and putting my mind at rest re the other items.

I've replied to your PM too - please read...

Cheers, John.

Greig, package on door mat when I got in tonight!

Everything's there - the main things being the MAP sensor and the Com Link cable...

That other plug is surplus to requirements. What is it for - adifferent MAP sensor or something?...

It doesn't matter anyhow, got all the bits I need now.

Awesome stuff!... Hey everyone, don't hesitate to do deals with WRX_SWRT... Top ScoobyNetter!

if i remember right, the other plug is for the solenoid, 1 cable goes to map sensor to ecu, one plug is for the solenoid as the stock solenoid uses a different type of plug on the engine harness.....
